No optimizations before byte code, really?
There's some, but not really that many, nor all that much need either. Most deep optimisations would be done once you've got the whole program available (especially the real static type graph).
The real focus of the bytecode is to accurately describe the semantics of the program in a way that it's easy for tools to work with. It's not surprising that decompilers work pretty well with it.
I would expect Oracle's code to be obfuscated, though.
Mostly it isn't. There's a few key pieces that are (typically by pushing them down into native code in the base runtime) but they're really small (in places like the media codec library and the code signing engine). For most products, that's exactly the right decision too: you prevent trouble using a mix of digitally-signed code, legal measures and by putting critical pieces on hardware you control (hence SaaS).

Who said anything about microaggressing her? I think she needs to be macroaggressed. ;)
-
Wouldn't that be kiloaggressed? Or megagressed? A good milliaggression can do wonders sometimes...

Do we need an :arrows2:?

wasn't it more a discussion about if it should be a cactus dildo or not?
we also need a proper image that can represent it on emoji scale ... bring on the purple dildo images!

Look, lady, you have exactly zero moral right to stop me from reverse engineering any code I want. It doesn't hurt you or anyone. Sure you have legal right to demand that, which is why I'd never admit to doing so in the first place, but that's it.
The company whose product I write add-on software for has told us in the past that f we want to know how a particular API of theirs works we should run it through a decompiler. We've made sure to keep that email as proof that reverse engineering their code is A-OK

If you keep using that image, I'm going to start calling you Accalia Accalia.

..... fine! i'll go fond more reaction memes...

But it's of Ayu, a character so iconic and annoying that her catchphrase is a common insult to an entire genre!

I swear you've gotta be doing that intentionally. Right? The timing on those is just too perfect.

sometimes intentional sometimes accidental. that was accidental.

Correct!
And this show/game had a really good fox-girl too.

...I should probably mention I've seen both versions of this show. And the movie followup to the first version.
I've seen both versions of Air and Clannad (and After Story for the TV Series) as well.
-
I haven't seen the old one. And I didn't like the Clannad movie (The series was amazing, all of it). But on random days, Dango Daikazoku plays in my head.
-
The Kyoto animation versions (new Kanon, Clannad/Clannad After Story TV series, Air TV Series) were the better ones.

But of course, any time Key teams up with PA Works, it's at least as awesome. I think they've learned their lesson when it comes to letting JC Staff adapt their stuff.
