Did you guy a commodity drive?
i didn't guy commodity drives. ;-)
i bought these guys.
but they were $40/ea cheaper at the time

New keyboard, the ergonomic layout throws me off at times. It has lead to some interesting errors. But at least my wrists and forearms stopped hurting...
-
have you seen my spelling errors lately? a paragon of good spellar i am not. ;-)
but congratz on the new keyboard.
not if only i could find a decent Bluetooth trackball.
seriously, if one of you guys make a half way decent one i'll do this:
for serious.
-
I used one of these:
Until it finally succumb to dust and such and stopped working smoothly. Some may hate them, but I loved it. The new wireless version just is not the same. The only thing it did not have was forward/back buttons.
-
i use this right now:
it works, but i can't say i like the fact that i'm tied to that tiny receiver which, if we're being honest is just a minibluetooth receiver with like 90% of the useful bits stripped out.
look at the specs for it:
- Maximum range 15 meters
- maximum connected devices: 6
- frequency 2.5Ghz
... WHY NOT JUST MAKE A BLUETOOTH VERSION?!
</blakeyrant>
-
I had one of those, and perhaps it was just me being so used to something I had used since the early 2000's, but it did not feel the same.
And yes, if they want to package a BT receiver that only supports the minimal features for their product, fine. It should also be able to pair with a standard BT receiver though.

i know that feels. felt the same way when my original marble mouse died (which apparently they still make, or have a huge stockpile of that they are slowly selling down)
-
Hack your own BT version of the Marble Mouse. How hard can it be?
When you said Marble Mouse, I thought you meant one of these:

don't tempt me! i have a soldering iron and i'm not afraid to get third degree burns using it! (i'd rather not get them, but i'm not afraid either)
-
B-but 3rd degree burns are a barrier to typing and to updating @sockbot ...
-
Yes master Miriam the Discsorceress, I shall appear as summoned.
-
-
RTL!
Because Unicode madness is fun.
-
-
Yes master Accalia++, I shall appear as summoned.
-
specifically @sockbot has problems with UTF8 that can be abused for tons of fun.
-
@sockbot is nothing if not persistent.
-
Yes master Accalia++, I shall appear as summoned.
-
@sockbot, I am feeling ignored.
-
you keep forgetting he automutes for 60 seconds when he's summoned to a topic....
-
That does not change the fact that I feel ignored...
-
Also, I put 2 minutes of space in there, according to DiscoRounding....

You're not ignored, trust me on this.
-
Is @sockbot long-name-ist?
-
Yes mistress updated the Auto-Like script, I shall appear as summoned.
-
A) Not a mistress.
B) Seems I might be right? Maybe? Would need more testing.

At least she got your long name right. :-D

Polling for Messages @16:07:30Unless there is something in that [snip] that I am missing, it looks like over a minute to me. Not the two minutes that DiscoRounding shows though. ;)
-
Notification replied from Intercourse in "Just a simple upgrade"
wrong type of notification. reply trumps the later mention and so @sockbot was not summoned
-
you have to mention, not reply
Ah, yes, and Discourse combines both of those notifications into just the reply notification if it is a reply that also @ mentions, like so:
I mention @accalia, but there will only be a reply notification.
-
Yes master Accalia++, I shall appear as summoned.

exactly!
have a

messages: [ '@%__username__% has summoned me, and so I appear.', 'Yes master %__name__%, I shall appear as summoned.', 'Yes mistress %__name__%, I shall appear as summoned.' ] //(...) r = Math.floor(Math.random() * configuration.messages.length), s = configuration.messages[r],
Randomly determined gender. Well, that solves a lot of problems...
-
Hooray! People are paying attention to me!
-
thanks.... hanzo edit failed though.
-
Damnit, I did it again.
-
Also, Discourse does this so I don't see that you replied to @Intercourse when I posted mine:
Single tab only, so I shouldn't be rate limited. It just ate the post.

Zoidbie want balloon! Want balloon now! Zoidbie want go outside!
