No - it doesn't work like that....yet

So if I want to go back and read 25 topics later, I can't use stars?
There's a good solution to this problem, and this definitely isn't it.

Do what?

No quack.

If you whoooshed, he's asking if it is in fact not possible to star 25 threads so he can remember to read them later.
-
star 25 threads as overall limit? don't think that's how works.
limit is how many can add per day...
i think.

No, if you go back far enough, starring is rate-limited like so many other things. The screenshot showed the limit as 20 (presumably per day.) That means if you wanna star 25 threads, it sucks to be you.

Did @Maciejasjmj set me up the bomb? His question doesn't make sense as written. And it's a reply to the OP, which makes less sense.
Was it referencing something someone else said? Doing some manual looking, I see @PJH's image saying that there's a limit of 20 per day. Maybe that's what he was talking about? Who knows? He didn't reply to anyone or quote anyone.
C'mon people, they finally got rid of the discoursistency of not indicating when you replied to the previous post, lets use replies and quotes correctly (not to mention words). Gah. Maybe I should head over to the rants thread for a while.

this calls for a test!
i must make sockbot star threads and see what the limit truly is

Neither does your @mention. Or I'm seriously decaffeinated and have no idea what I've asked about.

I didn't realize what he was asking until your reply, at which point I re-read what he wrote a couple times, until I came up with what I think is the only reasonable interpretation.

Also, did you @-mention the wrong person here? @chubertdev asked the question about the rate-limiting on starring. @Maciejasjmj (dude, did you have to use such a hard-to-remember spelling?) as far as I can tell didn't participate in this wacky question.
-
@Maciejasjmj (dude, did you have to use such a hard-to-remember spelling?)
"Maciej" is an actual Polish name. "asjmj" is me hitting the keyboard because all the logins on some site years ago were taken.
Sorry, keyboard-bashing doesn't leave you much choice.
Replied to the topic. Navigated away from the topic. Read a post. Clicked the first topic in the "Suggested Topics" list. Got brought back to this post of mine.
@discoursebot, what do you have to say?

Someone please
chown
that post.

Shit. Of course I meant @chubertdev.
Here's my theory. When writing that I (obviously) didn't go back up to figure out who I was quoting. But I must have seen @accalia's red avatar and somehow gotten your red avatar into my head.

hey! my avatar is orange thank you very much!

Too many memories of it being editted into a Rosie O'Donnell in the old forums.
-
oh.... right.
thanks for reminding us of that.
now where did i leave the brain bleach?

-
no, i moved it ever since Timmy tripped and fell head first into it.
I hear he's back on solid food now, but still doesn't remember his name.
-
I thought that this bug was fixed.
Yeah, I did that one on purpose.
hey! my avatar is orange thank you very much!
I can definitely see orange in the bigger version. But even there the red overwhelms it for me.

Clearly, binding the admin-positions to likes is a brillant idea and should be done immediatly
Genius!

A side effect of painting as a hobby is that after a while you identify colors by the name of the pigment(s) you would use if you had to paint them. The small version looks like cadmium red light; the larger version has some cadmium orange mixed in.
