When you apply Discourse properties to handwear

-
We should maybe send some salmiakki to @apapadimoulis in return for him giving us discourse.
That sounds strangely appropriate.
-
Patsas would be more appropriate. It's 99% tripe.
-
Let me point you towards this TDWTF article:
-
It's nice, but wouldn't a shoe make more sense?
-
Sadly, yes. Virtually anything would make more sense than using your pinky and thumb as a real headset.
-
Lotus notes was a good mail client back when it was first releasesd.
You mean comparatively, right? Did no other mail clients exist? Were early versions of Lotus Notes something other than Lotus Notes?
-
Let me point you towards this TDWTF article:
This used to be just a generic blogspot thing. Good to see @apapadimoulis, MD, FACS, eMBA sprang for the domain name:

You mean comparatively, right?
I did mean comparatively yes.
don't get me wrong lotus notes sucked donkey balls, but that was better than getting mauled by angry leopards riding enraged priapic donkeys, which was the experience of using the other mail clients that were available at the time.
(summoning @algorythmics: Did i get that simile right?)

Is it bad that I'm actually planing to get myself some salmiak after reading this? I'm pretty impervious to salt, so who knows, it might rock my boat.
And if not, at least I know how to dispose of it.
-

I like salt, but I hate black licorice, which I've gathered is another rather important component to the experience. I have no desire to try this, even if I had a convenient way to procure it.

Lotus Notes
Wow, it's now called "IBM Notes". Wouldn't that tarnish IBM's brand? Or is it Lotus's brand that is too far gone?

Yes.
-
I'll just play Lotus The Ultimate Challenge instead then.

I would have said it's better than sexually stimulating an unwilling male rhinoceros into the gaping maw of an unwilling tyrannosaurus rex myself. If everything (in terms of the equipment restraining the 2 unwilling participants) holds together you will probably be fine, but if something goes wrong? one way or another you are going to be sad about it.

Berea looks nice.
-
It’s great! Stop on by some time.
-
So you live in a facsimile of San Francisco where they filmed the opening for Full House?
-
Oh hells no!
We’re classic Midwest… small town outside of a mid-size metro.
Those townhouses are not canonical.
You’re supposed to get a house with a yard, a dog, and then hang out and with your neighbors and talk about how cold it’s getting.
Can’t do that in a townhouse.
-
You could. You would just have to do some of it in a common area, and then when you are not around your neighbors can bitch about how you do not clean up your dog's shit.
-

Oh. Common mistake. That's not actually dog shit, it's Discourse lying around.
-
It’s newer, but it’s also a canonical usage.

"Hackers invest this term with a playfulness that makes an ironic contrast with its historical meaning. A true story: One Bob Sjoberg, new at the MIT AI Lab, expressed some annoyance at the incessant use of jargon. Over his loud objections, GLS and RMS made a point of using as much of it as possible in his presence, and eventually it began to sink in. Finally, in one conversation, he used the word canonical in jargon-like fashion without thinking. Steele: “Aha! We've finally got you talking jargon too!” Stallman: “What did he say?” Steele: “Bob just used ‘canonical’ in the canonical way.”"

Oh Christ. Those "Jymy" things look kinda like mints, but taste like dirt with liquorice, Haribos are
goodedible at first, but the longer you chew it, the more the flavoring mixes with saliva and makes you want to spit the damn thing out, and the elephant ones I'll try later, because I'm busy downing a hectolitre of Irn-Bru to kill the taste of Haribos. And neither of the two are really salty - it's more like this perfect balance of salty, bitter, acidic and dirt-like to wrench your guts.
The elephant ones are actually pretty edible - not salty, slightly sweet and fairly heavy on liquorice.
-
Haribos are good edible at first
Are they anything like Haribo sugar-free gummy bears?
-
Are they anything like Haribo sugar-free gummy bears?
Judging by the reviews, the gummi bears at least have the decency to be tasty before striking upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger.
-
Haribo sugar-free gummy bears?
Hey! Hey! Those be my trademarked threat item! Get your own!
-
Those be my trademarked threat item! Get your own!
I wasn't threatening anyone; I was merely inquiring whether this Haribo product had a similar effect. However, judging by the description of the taste, it's quite possible nobody will ever eat enough of them to find out.
-
Ok, I'll give you a pass on that one
I, however, do like salmiak. But now that I'm older, salmiak no longer likes me
oddly enough that frown emoji is strangely apropos…

You sure? By my understanding, you only needed to eat two or three of the Haribo Sugar Free Bears to be struck down.
-

True, but I got the impression eating more than one, perhaps even swallowing the first one, of the "Super Piratos" was unlikely:

I didn't manage to go through it.
