I figured that was what you were looking for, but, if I recall correctly, the text adventures that I've played usually skipped the verb for movement.

Not much, the Stage mostly holds instantiated objects currently going on in my world.
In this case, we just blew away a small(ish) VM I was running to emulate a game.
Seems there's an issue with suspending and resuming and the VM lost connection to the disk and upper memory? Whatever, it's not like this is production code or anything...
