"five days", "five guys"... it's all connected, man, it's all connected!
-
@coldandtired no clue what the reference to lighting is. But the bottom most thread in that screenshot was posted 6 days ago.
However, that screenshot is of the /r/KotakuInAction forum, which is a source of its own unique brand of bullshit and insanity.
Basically if anyone gives you the chance to look at reddit say no and be very far away from them
-
@coldandtired said in More than five members talking about Twitter:
What things in that picture are five days apart?
"Hey guys, look at this funny gamergate reference!"
"OMG Zoe Quinn is a freak who sees GamerGate everywhere even when it's obviously not there!!!!!111"
-
@Yamikuronue I know, right? It's almost like Reddit isn't one dude's personal blog but a place where a whole bunch of different individuals send links. That's crazy!
-
@Yamikuronue But those are 6 days apart

@aliceif said in More than five members talking about Twitter:
Awesome. Shows once more that ignoring all that bullshit was the only correct action to take.
I'm sure @blakeyrat will be along to tell us how OF COURSE Zoe's right and Nintendo's obviously sexist and probably racist and should pay her $50 trillion dollars.
-
@bb36e said in More than five members talking about Twitter:

I think you just don't understand the gravity of the situation!
... because, mass? Mass lighting? Large mass can create a gravity well big enough to bend light? No?
Oh fuck you all, it's funny!

@Jaloopa said in More than five members talking about Twitter:

If "5 guys" was a reference to anything other than what was on the screen, it's far more likely--as I think the article mentioned--to have been a reference to the 5 guys burger chain.
-
@Onyx haha !

Now I really want a cheeseburger...

But it's gas ... you need a ball off gas the size of the sun to get things going ...

That's not a thing here so I hadn't heard of that either

Liar. You pushed the focus towards gamergate by linking that article about Paper Mario.
Before that, most people talked about old computers.

That was in response to @blakeyrat's first post in this thread.
I assume he saw something about Anita Sarkeesian and apparently the only thing she does is gamergate or something as far as he's concerned.
-
@boomzilla Don't mention me if you're not talking to me. The ignore feature doesn't work.
-
@blakeyrat said in More than five members talking about Twitter:

Yes, I was specifically talking to you while I was talking to @aliceif. The mention was intentional. Gamergate made me do it.

@boomzilla Oh good, I'm so glad you were able to incorporate some gamergate bullshit into this thread right from the first post. Just what I wanted.
Everything is about video games with you. I didn't put any gamergate stuff in there.
If you mention Anita without worshiping her name, you're a gamergate... at least to @blakeyrat. (yes, this was also intended for you to read blakey).
-
@Deadfast said in More than five members talking about Twitter:
@FrostCat I though Anita moved on to history now?
See, these days, her focus is on games that she likes, and she's using her clout as a YouTube star to explore how men might be objectified in games. I don't remember exactly, but I believe this announcement was made a few months before she moved in.

@Yamikuronue said in More than five members talking about Twitter:

It's not a gamergate reference! Follow the links, look at the picture!

Technically, Zoe Dumbass Quinn made it about gamergate.

You've probably ruined the conversation already. No matter what you say about her.

OBVIOUSLY IT REFERS TO SLOWEY ZOE THEN.
C whut I did there? 'Cos she's slow on the uptake.

Sure, why not? Or you could just use whichever of the two is the least--or most, whatever--inappropriate given the circumstances.

Well, I suppose we could use someone to fill the void left by our furry friend.

I didn't say it was, I was translating what the image said. Some asshat on Reddit said it was, and then some other asshat said it wasn't.

Hey! Listen!
Who remembers the Zelda games where you could chose to play as a male or a female character from the beginning? You know, the ones that were only in Japan and only for a limited time?
-
@aliceif I thought link was girl for about six months when I first started playing Zelda games back in the dawn of time.
-
@kt_ They wasn't however they had Nintendo products in them.
-
@Groaner She hasn't never played a game I would wager. Thus why one one of her live Twitch streams she had a guy play it for her and it was horrifically shite as well.
-
This post is deleted!

Here's a blog post with more details:
I like how they've decided to co-opt #Stickers for this. Like really, couldn't you use #TwitterStickers instead‽

There are also a few titles in that collection that she's too embarrassed to admit owning. For example, one night when I got home, I caught her playing a DoA game.

You should listen to him. Gordon Freeman has a Ph. D. in theoretical physics.

@Groaner You aren't a real gamer if your games collection is neatly sorted and stacked.
Real gamers have that shrink-wrapped copy of whatever game they preordered but hadn't had a chance to play yet on lying on some table, a bunch of games just lying around near their primary console, some loose portable carts on their nightstand and their main games shelf is maybe ordered by console, if even.
-
@aliceif I noticed some weird things too.
Like buying Fear 1/2 on XBox, but 3 on PS3.
-
@aliceif said in More than five members talking about Twitter:
Real gamers
I have Steam and the only consoles I've ever owned were Nintendo handhelds newer than the GBA but older than the DSi.

Do real gamers also need to be able to play the bagpipes and wear a kilt?

Come to think of it, if I didn't have a massive, reflective, self-doxxing screen in my living room and felt diligent enough to clean up EXIF data, I'd post an image of the console setup in there. Things aren't immaculate, but still pretty well-organized.
Of course, I do more PC gaming than console gaming, and my desk is much less clean, so you may have a point....

I'm not sure I'd believe that. While she has a wide variety of superpowers, none of them grant the 15km/s Δv needed for launch, translunar injection, lunar orbit insertion, and lunar descent.
