OR: Jeff doesn't actually want any user contributions, because that would run counter to the agenda of putting Jeff Atwood in control of as much of the internet as possible. Much of cdck's bikeshedding has the effect of making discourse development inaccessible to people who aren't paid full-time to keep up. Yet despite that, discourse/discourse has had commits from 30 different users in the past month, but here's Jeff still talking about his 7-person team because his stooges are the only ones that actually matter.
Seriously: think how much more contribution they could have if deploying discourse wasn't such a unbelievable nightmare. Or if 90% of discourse's wheels weren't invented by Sam “documentation is for nerds” Saffron. Or if they would use any of their over 9000 frameworks the way they were meant to be used, instead of bending the frameworks to fit their vision.
God damn this is cathartic — you know I've been wanting to lay into Sam for some time now, but I didn't want to do it when he was still active here because a) he was tdwtf's only hope of actually getting any issue fixed b) I'm not sure he really deserves such a grilling; I mean, if I could find a sugar daddy who was willing to pay me money to spend my time writing message queues and test runners and js lru caches, who's to say I wouldn't?

Thank you @gribnit, for liking this.
Honestly, I feel like this is the best joke I've made in a long time, not sure why I only got one like out if it? Maybe @blakeyrat has the right idea about likes after all.

Given the current state of tracking on this dreadful forum, it can take days for me to even notice that a thread is still ongoing, and there's like a billion threads I'll never be able to find because "hur durr too many tracked threads drop tracking into the shitter hurr durr". Serves me right for not using the forum exactly like cock``@end would do
