These are great. Like those old East-European posters for western movies. You just know they gave some old party guy a one sentence description of the thing and let him at it.

"There's a bit with Wizard chess that's brilliant, and there's this rat, the rat's important later, can the rat be on the cover?"

The second one sucks. But the first one's pretty great.

I will always love the German ones:

Not bad (although Harry looks odd on each of them, and never in the same way twice), but I prefer the originals:

What's with those horrible hipster glasses?

I think this might have been posted here before, but meh...

It's a teletype! :)

Elegant market filtering, I'd say. Anyone spotting the flaw in the ad are obviously not in their target group.
Side note: I hate it when the veneer on the edge of shelves wear off, leaving a sharp edge that you just know you are going to scrape yourself on. Using this desk my wrists would be sore after less than five minutes. ...And 4:30 minuets earlier, my thighs would have been badly scraped.

Of course he has horrible glasses. You think the Dursleys were going to pay for nice ones?
-
Yeah ... Heineken is a real joke ... they shouldn't call that beer
-
It could be worse. It could be Coors Lite…

The atheists' worst nightmare!

You drink beer, you piss heineken.

I found the image on Imgur sans-addition - which had this amusing comment.

What Sorts of Things Can Be Triggers?
To give a personal example, I am often triggered when I see books by Terry Pratchett. I have been told that his books are fantastic, but I cannot bring myself to read any of them because Pratchett now suffers from Alzheimer’s disease.
I have mentioned this particular trigger to friends and family before and have been met with surprise, disbelief, and remarks on how silly I’m being.
As you might imagine, such remarks are not helpful.
Sounds beyond help.
-
Well, that shouldn't be a problem any longer...
-
But he only doesn't have it now because it killed him. Might be a lot worse. Who knows? It's obviously not a rational thing.

Interesting, but the 10-bit line width is a dealbreaker.

Blue lipstick? Does that suggest she distracted CM before killing him?
-
Are you sure? I count a 1010 bit line width there.

Was a typo, @antiquarian meant should be 100 bit line length.EDIT: add in the ninja edit 'd' to the quote.
EDIT2: reread and left out words that completely flubbed what I was trying to say.

Where are the rats.

I couldn't not notice:
Rubio checked out six books from the the Miami Dade Library System July of 1977.

Your spiritual kindred? I hate to break it to you but there were no actual rats in those books, only someone taking the external form of one, but still was not actually a rat.
Besides, the man in pet shop say it no rat, it rare hamster.

Tell me this is a spoof.

Just yesterday I watched a relatively recent episode of Doctor Who where people were getting their souls sucked out by joining a evil wifi network. And I thought to myself: at this point, just give me the Star Trek technobabble because holy shit was that plot stupid.
-
Two geeks, one keyboard is a thing in NCIS. They have stopped that shit last I saw.
-
But it has the line about how it's souls sucked into the Internet and someone saying "isn't that basically just Twitter?"
-
But how would that... Why would... TDEMS. I continue to feel justified in not watching that bag of shite.

Since Capaldi's taken over as the Doctor, the storylines have become a lot less ludicrous
-

Seasons 1-5 of New Who were actually pretty good, but since then the writing's become utter crap.
Except the season finales and holiday specials, those are always excrement. Always.
But it has the line about how it's souls sucked into the Internet and someone saying "isn't that basically just Twitter?"
That joke was slightly funny, and yet it doesn't make up for the other 58 minutes of the episode being the dumbest thing ever. Anti-gravity Vespa? Jesus.
-
Yeah, the 11th doctor just wasn't interesting.

Since when is a Matt Smith episode considered "relatively recent"? That's a couple seasons old.
-
Compared to the 51.5 year history of the show?
