Blakey loses his shit in 3... 2... 1...
-
A Visual Studio UX designer on reddit also said there's a new redesigned UI for normal git usage as well that includes missing functionality like rebasing
-
Sweet, I'll continue to not use Git in VS.
But I'll still update it all today, because I have some questions about the APIs available now.
-
I am pretty sure that I just heard blakey's head explode.
-
I doubt even he'll be surprised. They introduced Git integration in VS13, so it's rather natural they'll be enhancing it in VS15.
Especially since MS seems to be pushing very hard to separate their stack (Mono investments, VS-like editor on Lunix, integrating an alternative to TFS), probably going for those devs who could use, say, ASP.NET, but aren't quite ready to go full Windows-VS-TFS-IIS.
-
?
I've been using Git in VS for like 2 solid years now, I don't know what you people think I'd be upset about.
-
Are you taking the piss? You rant about Git all the time.
-
You rant about Git all the time.
I would imagine he's optimistic that MS will write a better client than what's currently out there.
-
Visual Studio is already the best Git client on Windows. I've said that like a million times.
-
Visual Studio is already the best Git client on Windows
And that would be part of what's already out there, with this improving on it. I think they just saw git and naturally thought of you.
-
Yeah and apparently the shoulder aliens have been busy telling these morons lies about what I feel about Visual Studio? Or something?
I still don't get what reaction they expected. "Oh noes! Blakeyrat talks about how bad Git is and somehow a Git client being improved would make him angry? I guess?"
-
Don't worry, Blakey, we still love ya.
-
Perhaps they're hoping for something like...
-
well obviously you got a bluescreen. You're still using WindowsXP.
keep with the times man! you should be using at least windows 8 at this point!
then you could have an awesome BSOD!
-

What the hell? Quote fail.

I read that as "git rant into a problem"

I wish I had thought of that.
