The unofficial DiscoEmoji request thread
-
I thought instead of making a new thread every time someone wants a new custom emoji added, we could just keep everything in one thread. So feel free to post your requests and your suggested implementations here.
I'll start with some requests
- :head_explode: (when you just can't process the stupidity)
- :fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu: (because sometimes and just don't cut it)
And of course the ones from the Animal Emoji thread:
- :tribble:
- and as @Onyx said, lots of s, because cats are better than every other animal.
I'll try to pop in later and post some pictures for those, since I can't do that at the moment.
-
because cats are better than every other animal
Only if properly cooked. They are no good roasted.
DISCLAIMER: I don't actually hate cats. I'm not a cat person, but I'm fine with them, as I am with any animal. I am just trolling back. You can put down the pitchforks.

Also a question for @PJH and other knowledgeable people, that I'm sure has been asked before somewhere but I can't be arsed to follow 500 threads of disco-bashing (sorry):
Would it be viable to have some emoji slightly larger than the rest? Maybe by removing the CSS size parameters entirely and just relying on the browser to show the image at its actual size?
-
I've requested buttocks before now, preferably one that goes with so I can describe how my day is going.
-

I think kittens are commonly stewed.

(German comedy, probably not funny)

Not mentioned here. Before.

Some of them already are non-standard.

Let me guess... radio thing, calling random people? We get that here, too, massively unfunny, mostly. And usually for the same reason - a minute in and it wore too thin for me to even try and listen more of it. It wasn't that funny to begin with, stretching it out for 3 minutes... yeah.
Also, I was able to follow that unusually well

It's emoticon, you pigs.
That's it, I give up.

It's emoticon, you pigs.
It was emoticon. Then the Unicode Consortium ruined everything as usual. Now we're stuck with crappy and weird icons like the "face of triumph" here: .Still, as I always say: good standard > bad standard > no standard > terrible standard. Emoji is a bad standard but not terrible, so still better than none.

It is pretty terrible though. I'll take the "
:)
,:(
and whatever else" non-standard of every other forum over any day.
-
i still have no idea how that could be considered an eight pointed black star
also, thjis appears to be relevant:

How often do you get punched in the ass that such an emoji is necessary?
-
Eight pointed black star? Every word of that is wrong.ETA: INB4
-
More often than I'd like.
-
I need more emotes :colbert:
-
:hmm:
:cacodemon: because why not?
-
I propose:
For when you feel naughty:
For @boomzilla:
For @abarker:
When even headdesk won't do it
And for trying to properly format a post on Discourse:
My favourites anyway. I have more but...

I see that one as reacting to a done / implied deed.
I see my proposed one as stating an intention.

This old standby:

I find a lot more expressive than , although they both have their uses.

Hey @abarker told me to get off his lawn yesterday so the emote above his would work too.

I want some kind of

Only if properly cooked.
Minced and combined with three other arbitrary minced food-like substances.

Get this on meta! We need this in the topic list! Top posters get static avatars, the rest get this!
Yes, I know where the evil ideas thread is...
-
-
Can we have a strawman emoji?
-
No one has mentioned yet? Someone (I forget, sorry) has been using this substitute:
-
That would be @onyx.
-
So that's what that was supposed to mean!
-
I just expanded upon previous work ;P
-
I think the general consensus in the thread is that it's too indistinct at emojicon size.
-
Oops, I forgot about that thread. That was many beers ago...
EDIT: Oh yeah, I bailed out of there as soon as blakey started abusing sam...
-
-
Well, I tried...
-
Hence my idea of having larger emotithings :P

The key is to find a suitable image.
-
