Is that a homosexual euphemism?

Again?! I'm sure the BBC did that last time.

I read about the first 5-10 pages, I didn't grab me. Not to say it was bad, it just didn't seem to be going anywhere. Maybe it improves later on...?
Quite a bit, unless you're not into that kind of thing. The first chapter drops you in medias res, so it can be a bit confusing.
-
Six years into it, and I'm still not sure who's on which side of the conflict.
If you ever figure it out, let me know!
It's approaching what seems like it should be the climax in, maybe, another six months, or so.
I can hardly wait to see what you think when you get to that point.
-
I'd maybe suggest book 2 as a stepping on point
Bearing in mind that if you do that, you should go back and read book one at some point because there's a few plot points of various sizes you'll miss out on.
-
If you ever figure it out, let me know!
I've figured out which side (I think) the main characters are on, but some of them are intermittently acting under the control of another, and additional characters keep getting introduced.

Yeah. As I posted last night in the Status topic, I finished reading the entire thing from the beginning through yesterday's comic over the long weekend (I took vacation Friday and Monday). Drawing out the big battle longer than I expected, then throwing in a completely unexpectedgimmickplot device (along with new characters) that can potentially extend the conflict indefinitely.

Yeah, I didn't really feel the gave me a lot of info on all the characters I was being introduced to.
I might have to give it a second, go, see if I can get to page 20 or 30...

Whoosh? I've been current with the strip since ~2005. That was actually a subtle hint/spoiler/possible admission I wasn't able to keep up with the soap opera.
The current arc is fun, btw.
-

I accidentally several hundred posts in the Status thread, so I guess I missed that.
-
Yeah, I didn't really feel the gave me a lot of info on all the characters I was being introduced to.
A couple of dozen pages will give you enough background to go on for now, but the world is set in an alternative version of Earth where some people have "the spark", that is, Mad Scientistitis, to various degrees. Agatha is a student, who seems to be all left feet, and who gets robbed on her way (late!) to class, as the action starts.
The world is pretty recognizable--the action is set somewhere in West/Central Europe, probably around Germany.
-

No, I got that. I don't even think it was subtle. The "soap opera" is why I said I think I have the main characters figured out, but there's that whole mind-control thing going on. Is X acting out of free will, or because he/she/it is under the control of someone else, or pretending to be part of a conspiracy, or ...?
-
Does the site have any sort of Dramatis Personæ or FAQ? I didn't notice one, but I didn't really look at anything but the main sequence of comic pages, and just picked up the characters as I read. It sure would be helpful for a newcomer, though, but it might be hard to do without spoiling.
-
-
Does the site have any sort of Dramatis Personæ or FAQ?
There is a FAQ but it's not about the strip per se. I didn't find a character list.
Frankly I've never seen a webcomic that kept an up-to-date character list.
-
This isn't really something for this thread but some of you assholes[1] might think it's funny and I'm too lazy to find or create the right one[2]. I just went to Youtube and it offered me as "things I might like" the Katy Perry channel and the Nicki Minaj channel. Now it's possible I might actually like some KP (she was in an old POD song) but I don't think I've ever actually heard a Nicki Minaj...well, we'll use the word "song", loosely speaking.

I doubt it's too wrong about liking Katy Perry's videos.

-
I didn't find a character list.
There used to be a character list, but it was “hilariously” out of date all the time. Or occasionally spread massive spoilers. I'm not surprised they just deleted it (or maybe just stopped linking to it any more).

If you don't like that video for at least one reason, you are insane.
(My reason is: pyramid of Twinkies.)

I saw her video of "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" today.
I didn't know Rebecca Black (as well as a boatload of other people) had a cameo.

The art direction in that video is the insane bit. Flashing neon headdress?
I also think that there was a total failure by the director to get a satisfactory ending. If you set out to tell any kind of story then you should at least provide a proper ending to that story, but it just sort of fails at that. Grr…

I like that it doesn't autoplay so I can ignore it.

How could I have missed this?
Swedish democracy had its latest workout last Sunday, September 14, with the election of members to the national parliament (Riksdag), county council assemblies, and municipal assemblies. While established political parties drew most of the votes, Sweden allows (and then minutely chronicles) write-in votes. This process has created such venerable institutions as the Kalle Anka Partiet (the "Donald Duck Party," a common write-in), but it also lends itself to more mischievous uses—such as jotting down a bit of JavaScript on the vote form.
In 2010, the story was more about the SQL injection attempts:
-
the voter believed an alert box could do a better job of representing Sweden than human politicians
I like to believe this.

Report: Two waves of updates planned for Windows 10 in 2016
" Neowin reports that 2016's Windows updates are codenamed "Redstone." This is, I'm told, a reference to the popular game Minecraft that Microsoft now owns after its 2014 purchase of studio Mojang."

Cycle Facility of the Month. For April:
## A Dual Use Taxi Rank
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/pete.meg/wcc/facility-of-the-month/dual-use-taxi-rank.jpg
This new concept in efficient use of road space is being pioneered City Liverpool City Council.
Early evaluation of the effectiveness of this intervention on Breck Road found an unexpected weekly pattern.
While it works extremely well first thing on a Sunday morning, cyclists reported difficulty using it during shopping hours.
The council is now carrying out an intensive programme of research to discover the reasons behind this.

After extensive study, it turns out that the problem will go away by itself if cyclists ever come to realize that they're not God.
So the problem isn't going to go away any time in the next few decades?
(I was going to say “next millennium” but bicycles haven't been around nearly long enough to make that a sane statement.)
-

It wouldn't surprise me to find that some councils would seriously consider doing such a thing.
-
Quite.

Spiders and other bugs supposedly have a difficult time getting out of tubs. Personally, I've seen them accomplish the feat, but YMMV.
