A dog being an asshole to a poor cat
http://i.imgur.com/RZsAnNt.gif

Based on body posturing, it looks like the cat was actually walking backwards and trying to get out of the cup. This lead me to suspect that GIF is being played in reverse. In conclusion, the cat was actually trying to back out of the cup, and the dog helpfully removed the cup. Some /spit cat lover decided to reverse the GIF to malign this poor dog.
Even if this in fact an accurate video, the cat would've needed to willing put it's head into the cup. In this case, the cat was a willing participant in its humiliation.
Shame on you for perpetuating the stereotype of dog-on-cat hate.

Based on body posturing
I'm more go with the fact that the dog starts the gif actually walking backward rather than body posturing making it look like the cat should be walking backward rather than forward.

Stuff like that comes out every now and again; I'm starting to wonder if they're actually genuine or not

I know what you mean, but if I'm only sure of one thing it's that there are lots and lots of stupid people out there.
-
I'm also pretty sure there are a lot of liars and story fakers.

Being dispatched to report on events in the proximity of the city of Climax, Georgia, U.S is an assignment that all TV reporters dread.

I don't think that word means what the author thinks it means.

Some octopus on crab action:
We live in a world where fox and hedgehog can co-exist peacefully. So why can't crab and octopus?
-
So why can't crab and octopus?
The crab wanted to peacefully coexist. The octopus wanted to eat the crab.
I think both are delicious when prepared correctly.
I think both are delicious when prepared correctly.
Never had octopus, but since the couple of summers I spent working in a crab preparation place I'm not keen on that

Never had octopus
I've had deep-fried calamari; is tasty! Admittedly, it's squid not octopus, but it's the same sort of thing. I've also had tiny little octopodae as tapas; also is tasty
Crabmeat is pretty good too.

It's not the same. But octopus makes an awesome stew with some suitable spices (bay leaf, clove, allspice, peppercorns, etc) red wine and plenty of onion. And lots of cooking; octopus is something you either cook super quickly or very slowly. Anything else is going to end up like eating vulcanised rubber…

The radio host this morning told a story about his wife being confused why there was so little meat on their crockpot chicken, not realizing the host had put the chicken in upside-down so she was looking at the underside. Shit happens sometimes.

spanish people really knows how to cook:
They do indeed. The Greeks and Italians are pretty good too when it comes to the old business of food. (The octopus recipe I was thinking about up
threadtopic is a Greek one.) Further north, main kudos in my book goes to Denmark and Poland.

Denmark and Poland.
noted for further investigation.
i have italian and spanish ancestors, so i'm more inclined to mediterranean flavors.
(reminds me, i HAVE to get my hands on the paella recipe from my grandmother)

Whatever you do, don't waste your time on the frozen "octopus fried rice" entree from Weichuan Foods. I thought it sounded like a nice change of pace and bought one, but the bits of octopus were smaller than the grains of rice. Seriously disappointing.

OK. Danish food is mostly on the heavy side. There's no compromise in the use of cream and butter wherever humanly possible. Best experienced at a small kro in the Danish countryside (or a little town). Foodstroke expected.
The Poles have mastered the art of pork.

Madonna...BRIT Awards....at least she's your problem now.

Her for Piers? Sure....

Happily. He was stuck at CNN, and now he's at the more obscure (to US audiences) Daily Mail. Sometimes it's useful to have an idiot to kick around.

Sometimes it's useful to have an idiot to kick around.
If you want to kick Piers Morgan, preferably using something with steel toecaps, the list of people in the UK who would object is very short. I keep hoping that he gets sent to Syria to report on the IS situation in person. It would be very informative and would tremendously promote peace between nations…
-
Honestly, since he left CNN, he's pretty much dropped out of public life. Which was good, because he'd beclowned himself a lot while he was there. Not so much in quite the same way he did over there, of course.

octopus makes an awesome stew
The only time that I recall ever having it was in paella. It was good, but ...
like eating vulcanised rubber
... rubbery is the word most closely associated in my mind with it.
