Ah. Seems like my internal parser had a Discourse moment.

It's not all bad. I got to use the word “ignorati”. My day is complete and it's not yet lunchtime!

That one belongs in the bad jokes thread.

His whole twitter account belongs in the bad jokes thread

I was kept awake by a gnat last night. Out of all things my mind could have been doing, it started making up alternative names for this thread.
- Riking's killer bee
- Riking's trick or treat
- Riking's kitchen sink
- Riking's trigger finger
- Riking's healer pill
- Riking's heated seat
- Riking's chicken meat
- Riking's bitter sweet
- Riking's trickster skill
- Riking's hip and knee
I could have sworn I had come up with better ones, but I guess sleepy me's judgement isn't very trustworhy.

"Popular in my network" suggested @FeministShit, where I found this:
https://twitter.com/FeministShit/status/627957834236456960
...and the brilliant reply:
-
I tend to Poe's Law both that and MRA shit... have lost the will to spend the time to figure out whether or not they're kidding.
-
The stuff on that feed is anonymized, but there's enough equivalent stuff out there on the feminist front that seems to be serious enough. All of my MRA related knowledge comes from things that @Buddy has said. I don't think I have a firm grasp on MRA-ness.
-
This reminds me I forgot one: Riking's Mystery Meat.

/me wants to make a script that replaces the Google logo with that, permanently.

I shouldn't be surprised, given speedrunner, but @DonaldTrumpSRL's erratic streaming schedule is making me disappoint.

So, I made a boomzilla twitter account for these parts (I have a personal account linked to my real name, too, but I have @boomzillawtf for following you mutts) and I got one of those "popular in your network" emails:
guys.

Oh god, the stupid is so bad. It burns!!!!!!

the stupid is so bad
Even the basic math is wrong. It would be four dogs, not five…
-
To be fair, the playstation comment sounds like something I would reply with, and my son doesn't even have one.

This guy "@blakeyrat" has some funny (re)tweets:

Paging @ben_lubar:
-
"We have a mailing list and IRC and a Reddit, but why should we settle for things-that-work-and-have-no-problems when we can introduce a Ruby forum into the equation? xkcd posted a comic about making new standards being a good thing, right?"

Got rage-banned too?

lol no
Moving to part-time because remote work may not be the best choice in my career right now.
-
"@riking and 4 others retweeted"
-
Willing to relocate? Or looking for something local?
-
I'm at a flexible point in my life, so relocation is acceptable.
-
Got rage-banned too?
That'll come after Riking finishes working for him. At that point he'll just be a regular TDWTFer and ripe for bannerising.
-
@riking, where do you live? We're currently looking for new devs (based in Nottingham, UK).
-
Are you sure? Its so rare to find remote, all remote positions I see on the Internet are the very high requirements ones, for leaders, management, etc. I think remote is so cool they dont even need to advertise the jr and averaje joe positions. I had a remote job some 15 years ago and never found another, the US is probably different anyway.

Sigh... If it weren't for those bloody studies, I'd take you up on that.

Why not? Work is work. Especially in this area, where remoting is rather painless.
Hell, remoting isn't even something that you mention on your CV from what I know, so your future employer probably won't even know that you did all your coding without pants on.

I'm working 100% remote right now. It's not all it's cracked out to be.

just avoiding traffic would be a great thing for me

Not as funny as the fake Stevie Wonder twitter account. That was inspired genius.
