We'd get those milestone posts faster.

We'd never get 2n posts.

We'd get those milestone posts faster.
Doubt it - we're not /that/ busy...

Well 5.6Kish posts in the last 7 days, so we'd hit the every thousand posts milestones every dayish.
-
Have fun with plot.ly....
-
There was a day we had near 5k posts?!
-
One of the major milestones on /t/1000 probably.
-
I'm not sure if it was a milestone, but I remember a couple of posters going nuts.
-
"going"?
Ò_o
-
Eh? Maybe the idiom doesn't translate to British?
-
Possibly.
"going" in British implies they're on their way there - not that they've already arrived...
-
Yeah, I think he's suggesting they were always nuts?
edit: Hanzo.

In this case, I would say there's an implied "going nuts on that day". It's obviously past because I remembered it.

I hate it when people bring in strongly smelling food from home
This only bothers me if it's a smell I don't like.
While I'm at it, stop offering me homemade cookies as well. Buy some from the store like a normal person if you want to share!
Clearly you've never had a really good homemade cookie. They can be better than most store-bought stuff.
I used to work with a guy who's mother would make trail mix like you'd never get in a store.
-
That. We have a kitchen, dammit.
Not every office does. We have a room with a fridge, microwave, and sink. No chairs or table.
-
Shit dude,
I'm fucking sorry.
I try to grab my phone every time I go to the bathroom.
And I'm used to having a soft wristpad, so I forget this new hard one makes loud noise.I started using plasticware because it's quieter, and the whole tissue thing happened ONCE.

Such as the smell of other people's food?

Not since I moved out from my ma's house, I wouldn't think.
-
Such as the smell of other people's food?
Well, it depends on the smell. A burger? I'm not going to care about that. Spicy Thai food? I'm not fond of that, so I wouldn't want to smell it. A durian? I don't know because I haven't run across one, so I don't know if I'm one of the people who like or dislike the smell yet.
Not since I moved out from my ma's house, I wouldn't think.
Heh. My current office has a couple of people who make some pretty darn good cookies, and I used to work with a guy who's mom made trail mix to die for.

Fuck the people who bring fish to the office, even if they eat only in the kitchen, the fucking microwave will stench.

As a general rule, I will eat food that was prepared by one of the following people:
- Me.
- My wife.
- My ma.
- My wife's ma.
- Professional caterers.
I recognize the somewhat arbitrary and capricious nature of this list, and I am willing to bend the rules for reasons of etiquette from time to time (e.g. going to a friend's house for dinner (if I'm sure they can actually cook)), but the office is neither the time nor the place for an exception.

fish to the office
One time, somebody cooked some fish in our office, and I swear to god it smelled like burning rubber. I thought that some internal component of my PC had melted or something...

Food smells in general don't bother me (except to make me hungry), but the smell of scorched microwave popcorn does, and it seems to be impossible to make it without scorching at least a few kernels.
-
If I am going to be eating the popcorn, the smell does not bother me. If I am not, the smell of it cooking disgusts me. Popcorn and tuna fish should be outlawed in office environments.

emstenchen?

OED defines "stench" only as a noun in both the American English and British & World English dictionaries. Thesaurus.com also gives synonyms and antonyms only for the noun. However, in the "More words related to stench" section is the verb "reek" and its synonyms:
be permeated by
be redolent of
emit
fume
give off odor
have an odor

stench
stinkThe link for "stench" as a verb just links to the same page describing "stench" as (only) a noun.

Suggest you look up "verb" as a verb.

Suggest you look up "verb" as a verb.
I am already familiar with the concept of "verbing a noun," if that's what you're referring to.

Mom! He's stenching again!
