Much appreciated, thanks!

So failing to substitute
badge-type-$TYPE
is a feature.Huh.

Hey, let's talk about
I'm amazed.RubyJavascriptJavascriptthe User Card:However ...
Mine looks a bit broken™!Btw, even though I lost my Passable Poster Badge, I still have the user card icon for it!
-
Finally something worse than a white-on-black color scheme: a black-on-white-on-white-on-black-on-black-on-white scheme.
-
Hey, let's talk about Ruby Javascript Javascript the User Card:
Ever get the feeling they do stuff like this to distract us from something else?
-
Oh wow.
My User Card fixed itself!
-
Btw, the fancy new usercards can still be shapeshifted:
-
My User Card fixed itself!
Mine, too:
Hmm...looks like @PJH took his mention out, so not sure what that looks like any more. Interesting that people without the graphic get their avatar hanging out the top.
-
More user card fail - as seen in /t/1000/:

Happens here, too. I guess it was too much to ask. Baby steps, amirite?
-
Baby steps, amirite?
Would seem so.
On a related note - when you filter a topic to a single user - is there a button to show the whole thing again that I've missed? Seems the only way to get the whole thing back is to refresh.

Ironically, as @aliceif showed in her last screenshot, the showing of that button is the exact breakage we're discussing.

Haha... I didn't really pay attention to what the button was (obviously) just that it was there. Fail.
Didn't expect it to be there.
-
Didn't expect it to be there.
Yeah, though it does make sense when you think about it and it's actually super convenient, especially when the person has a lot of posts in the topic.
-
Hmm...they also took out the joined / posted info on the cards. I actually look at that a lot when I see someone I don't recognize.
-
I would commend you for editing the title to make it reflect the change of topic here but you forgot to add sexy!
-
-
-
I think he fixed it for @aliceif ...
-
I have no excuse.
I can't even blame Discourses preview-feature.
Filed Under: Let's never speak of it again!
-
Thanks but you fixed it for @accalia
wait.... whaaaaaa?
i'm happy to be summoned, but what were we talking about?
-
Then I must be doing something wrong:
Everyone with a background in their card is doing that to me now.
And I figured out how to repeat it (updated):
- Find a user with a user card background.
- Open their user card by clicking on their avatar.
- Without closing the user card, click on their avatar again, the user card disappears.
- Click on the avatar again, it opens broken.
- Repeat to desired effect.
Note, there is also a similar effect on user cards without a user card background, but it is slightly less noticeable until repeated more than a few times.
-
Weird. Have you tried reloading?
-
Reloading fixes it, but it's repeatable.
-
Wow.
That's one weird bug! (Repro'd and approved!)But because the User Cards are still in development, I guess it will all be fixed when they're done and released in production ...
-
i'll also confirm the repro
-
Mine is totally screwed up now:
This also seems to indicate that PNGs are not acceptable as user card backgrounds.
-
The user cards also expand without image backgrounds. But there should be some kind of fix out soonish:

-
What now?!
-
sorcery!
-
I have repro!
- Open any user card.
- Click on that user's avatar to close the user card.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 several times, preferably at least 5. The more times, the more dramatic the effect in the next step.
- Open @abarker's user card.
- ????
- Profit!
-
yep.
-
You can do it just by clicking @abarker's user card repeatedly. It starts to differ for me around repetition 2, and really goes nuts around 5-6
-

I believe I qualify as "any user", as specified in step 1. ;)
-
I have repro!
You're only 7 hours and 22 minutes late!

-
But did you ever get it quite as dramatic as I did?
-
Yeah. I just didn't bother to screenshot it.
-
Oh. Well then. As you were.
-
I want a scrollbar!
Where is my scrollbar?
I need it!
-
i went to repro that and got this when i clicked my avatar:
pause pause pause
It looks better with my local stylesheet override, but only because the font is a bit taller and pushes the second line off screen entirely.

wat
Seems like the title got added to the name field ... but not very well-though-out-ly.Like, the title doesn't show if the long name is too long. Unless you use RTL in which case you can see the title and the beginning of the long name ...?
-
@PJH, I would really love to see how a badge/title with a RIGHT-TO-LEFT OVERRIDE char messes up Discforce.
Can you make one for me?
-
http://what.thedailywtf.com/badges/167/- - seems ok
http://what.thedailywtf.com/badges/168/-badge-edirrevo-tfel-ot-thgir Not so much..
-
No leakage on the badges page though:
-
Nice!
I wonder how it would look like next to a name, though.

That's your badge set - haven't you tried it yet?
