Minor WTF: Kerbal Space Program Screen Resolution Settings

@Intercourse said:
Yeah, but every time we say @blakeyrat it should pop another one in his notification feed. I only did multiples in one because I wanted to be a cock.
Except it didn't work
-
I got shitstormed with 70 notifications in a few minutes earlier? All "Nice Post" ones too.
I think you and The @Luhmann Belch deserve those.
-
@Intercourse said:

I'll bet.
Also, @blakeyrat, because based on his "submission" he seems to like that.
-
I phrased it poorly. That post was a single notification even though I did it multiple times, but each post in here should make one notification for @blakeyrat?
-
I think you and The <small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small><small> @Luhmann</small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small></small> Belch deserve those.
I don't mind receiving them. I just resent them applied in a single mahoosive smackdown.
I deserve everything I get, though. No regrets.

Needs more @blakeyrat

The psychoanalysis thread is that way.
For being a bastard with spamming the crap out of T-1000...
-
Oh, @blakeyrat agrees.
-
only with his permission to harvest his posts for the markov chains.
otherwise that would be just mean and i'm not (that) mean
i'll just repeat myself here...
-
That would require @accalia to write blakeyrants and I think she's too nice for that.
'd just markov chain them together. there's enough rants here for that.
-
@blakeyrat does not grant permission for such things.
-
then blakeybot will never be a thing that i shall do.
-
-
With @blakeyrat's hatred of bots though, that would be the ultimate.
-
I think we need to alternate user for each @blakeyrat notification, but he can confirm soon.
-
I think we need to alternate user for each @blakeyrat notification, but will lose his feces soon.
FTFY.
Also, @blakeyrat

If it was just the UI scaling, I could understand. But the UI scales fine. The game just doesn't render at wider than 16:9.

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough in my last post. When I said "UI scaling", I actually meant "everything scaling". Which isn't as simple as just extending view - you need to modify your projection matrix calculations, too. And developers are lazy.Fun fact: Direct3D and OpenGL have screen space coordinates ranging from 0 to 1.
-
Yes but you also can't blindly just rescale everything to fit the screen dimensions because you will get distortions if you do that.
-
you should probably also do a sanity check on rescale to make sure the new window size will actually fit onscreen.,..
just sayin....

Sanity... check...? wut?
-
-
don't make me facepalm you.
:stare:
It's just that I haven't heard these two words together in a while. That and the fact I know what sanity is only because it happens to be in the dictionary.

hmm.... @royal_poet needs to visit more often then. ;-)

I have no objections to this whatsoever.

I'd always be up for that. I would be most happy to always have him near. My Arantor's a cutie.
-
-
he needs lots of loving support tonight. Will you look after him for me?
-
-
thank you :)
-
Sanity checks are used to determine how terrified you are of eldritch horrors, and how much SAN you permanently lose.
-
However, if I click on the other screen, it freaks out and minimizes. If, however, I set it to OpenGL (and thereby have more aliasing... sigh) alt-tabbing works great.
If you tab out of a DirectX fullscreen application, Windows will automatically revert the resolution. In OpenGL, you have to do your own resolution management for which people usually don't build that functionality.
But the best part about HoN is that my left monitor is 2560x1080, and the game is rendered no wider than 16:9!
That's probably a balance issue. Players with wide monitors should not get an advantage by seeing more of the game action than others.
-
No, see, I don't mind if they stretch the viewport or at least lock the cursor to the game area. But what actually happens is that if my friend moves the cursor to the edge of his screen, its in the black area on mine. The black area that should not exist. If they wanted to lock the whole thing to a 16:9 region of the screen, that would also be fine. What they actually do is completely wrong.
-
What do you think of all this, @blakeybot?
Fuck you. Not only are you wrong, the rules say you're a dick.
Thanks, @blakeybot.
-
Needs more @blakeyrat.
-
There should be an @blakeybot that is a Markov chain bot seeded from nothing but blakeyrants, or something of that ilk...

Discussed previously, I think. Shouldn't be too hard to redirect @MottBott...
Filed under: we replaced blakey with a simple shell script

It would be stupid simple. The script has a variable where you enter a source username and all the public posts by that user are loaded into the Markov chain.

So why isn't this a thing already?

So why isn't this a thing already?
We'd have to curate Blakey's posts from the old forum, too.
-
And the problem with this is...?
-
-
You go and scrape Community Server. I'll wait.
Considering that there is one amongst us with a database backup and an importer...?

So, you did not click the program's icon on its tite bar, select the move option and move the window with the arrow keys until you could reach the apply button?
The Window Manager is your friend.
Filed under: Now if only dwm.exe had something like Alt+drag or Mod4+drag like many X11 WMs ...

Been Windows user for sixteen years. Never knew of this feature.
-
What about if you select a window, press Alt-space, select Move from the menu by pressing M and then move the window with the arrow keys and press enter to accept the new position?
-
Well, that's the same thing!
I just mentioned the easiest way to open that menu,
