@Gustav heh. I remember thinking a long time ago that nobody really wants a true human-level AI because we want machines to do the boring stuff without daydreaming or giving up.
-
Who’d have thought the ultimate defence against bots was ?
-
@Gustav Wasn't there a recent flare-up of articles complaining that LLMs are getting less helpful and refusing tasks? Maybe that is a sign that they're improving. (Isn't that basically the premise of a significant chunk of RoboAI-uprising stories? The creators made the RoboAI a bit too good and then the RoboAI decided that it didn't want to.)
-
@cvi yes, but then OpenAI said they fixed that. And actually, I've seen an improvement on that front myself. Improvement meaning it will actually do what I ask it to do instead of starting the task and saying, "...and then you can do more of that yourself" to me.

IOW, the AI was wrong

Is @Polygeekery visiting Sweden right now? A water slide just caught fire and exploded. That seems like atypical behaviour for water slides.

@boomzilla using “if” instead of “when” sure made this take a darker turn.
(Also : people had high hopes for me when I was a kid. Too bad I let them down.)

I like how I can read the silent “year old” before kids there.

I am in this post and I do not like it. But I suppose the alternative is worse.

Good on you for keeping quiet. Like they say, kids should be seen and not heard.

I've always wondered if anyone here was a goat. Now I have to wonder which of us all are capricious due to nature or nature.

People seem to think a todo app is the only example they can use for demonstrating a js framework, but I can think of a counter example.

The only good counters are the ones you can get amorous on.

For example, Windows has an extensive printing infrastructure. But that infrastructure does not exist on Xbox.

Someone's latest grocery delivery included bottled water, and then their DDF struck...

@remi Are you sure that's not the water mains?

@PleegWat I'm pretty sure it is the water mains (what else could have so much pressure?!?) but .
