TIL that when cats are put under anaesthesia, their eyes stay open (and they have to be moisturised).

Measuring 13.37 cm (5.26 in) in length and 10.55 cm (4.15 in) in width, it is the worldâs largest kidney stone ever recorded.
The stone was in fact larger than Coongheâs actual kidney, which has a bipolar length of 11.8cm (4.6 in).
Coongheâs kidney stone is also the worldâs heaviest kidney stone, weighing 800 g (1.76 lb). Thatâs roughly the same weight as five baseballs!

I don't even want to know what that is.
Since you asked so nicely, best I can describe it is, if Sonic the Hedgehog was more like a deer, but wearing high-heels for some reason, and looking at you with bedroom eyes, and extra jointed forelegs.

I'm pretty certain that peeing on potassium (or any other highly reactive metal, such as sodium or lithium) very much belongs in the Bad Ideas thread.

While the media is evil, I don't think they eval much. Also, 1849 was definitely not medieval.

Just a few years earlier and you start getting into pre-history periods.

The last time I got into a period wasn't quite pre-history, but it was before my ex-wife had her hysterectomy, which was quite a long time ago.

So this is one area where women outperform men, getting bottles and genitals stuck in eachother?
Though I'm pretty sure I've read about more recent cases of penis stuck in bottle.

I do appreciate them. People here, traditionally, have not, and thus this topic.

I was anxious to test the matter (though not with the same instruments which the patient had done)
Good idea.
Then I introduced some urine with a dash, while the end of one of my fingers was inserted into the mouth of the bottle,
Not so good idea.
Though it apparently ended up well for him, without having to break another bottle.

Off by two. There was a funny thread of cylinder stuck in a skittle's packaging.

@boomzilla Just today, I was looking around my front porch and vicinity and thinking that the thing I hate most about cicadas is their discarded exoskeletons that cling to walls, posts, plants, and other surfaces for days/weeks/months after they've been discarded. The thought of putting one in my hair, well, this is the right thread for that.

Yeah, everyone knows you should use live sunspiders for keeping your hair out of your face.

Imagine you open the door of your car, and find that some wasps built their nest there:
-
@BernieTheBernie Imagine you arrive at your car and a gull decided to build a nest on the hood. And it's a protected species (why oh why) so you're not allowed to move it.
At least it wasn't a private vehicle.
-
@BernieTheBernie I did have that a few years ago. Opened my parents outdoor box for storing cushions and I discovered a wasp queen had started building a nest on a cushion. Luckily, it was just the queen and a couple larvas so removal was easy via rolled-up newspaper vs queen and plastic bag for the nest. A few days later however and it may have gotten more exciting...

Yeah...that's pretty Lovecraftian.
