It's important that animated pictures end in a jiff.

I haven't read the topic, but I just ran across this question on Stack Exchange:
Cat may have spent a week locked in a drawer - how concerned should I be?
-
Fortunately, in that case, "may have" stands for "very likely didn't".
-
@HardwareGeek I think we'll bring up the three possible states of a cat in a box - alive, dead, and bloody furious.

Might be 4 - there's 2 categories of "bloody furious":
- You're not going to live to regret it
- Payback's a bitch

Cat may have spent a week locked in a drawer - how concerned should I be?Our cat use to turn up in the oddest places. He got trapped under the bed drawers once. The builders found him in their toolbox a couple times. The neighbour’s breadbox was a favourite. The oddest was the gap under the kitchen cupboards. Everytime the angelus came on he would bolt right for it.

cat status one of my mother’s cats has figured out how to get the dry food open. I came into the kitchen with four heads stuck in the bag and a huge mess.

@error A cat lying on their back is not a submission position. It's all weapons ready. Some do like to play in that position - but woe on you if you keep playing a second longer than they want.

Yeah that's not correct play. It's attack and release cycle, sparring with a worthy opponent.

@topspin Cats are liquid, yo.
But do not try to drink one.

Cars? Maybe under extreme heat and or pressure, but...
Cats, however, are definitely some exotic state of matter that mimics both solids and liquids.

@Benjamin-Hall I blame auto-. It probably wasn't, but I'll blame it anyway.
