An interesting exception to the rule saying reading is harder than writing.
Recursion is like this in general. Because recursion.

UGH just inline the await, nothing else uses that... why even have a name for this transient thing?

If you’re blindly copying it
I blindly copied, past-tense.
Now that I'm actually writing the appropriate code, I've reduced much of it by about 70 percent.
Like, for example, did you know that the
Sequelize
library provides appropriate validation for the entities? For some reason, we're rolling our own duplication of that functionality instead of attempting to update the entity and catching theSequelize.ValidationError
if it happens.I don't know why we're duplicating functionality, especially as the validation rules are also duplicated. Like, define them once, what the hell?

Well you need to validate before you do any business logic.

When the validation is the business logic you gotta break the egg inside the chicken.

That's easy. You grab the chicken by the neck and bang it on the table a couple-three times.

status our new scrum zealot is kicking up shit. As an alternative to my usual tactic of outright hostility and hanging them on business realities. I of decided to actually read a book on Scrum by Jeff Sutherland the grandfather of Scrum and see what he has to say. So far a lot of common sense but he wasn't pedantic enough in defining effort which is why i'm doomed to be involved in pointing and velocity arguements until the end of time.
I try to have dangerous commands in random text files just to keep things interesting for when this happens.

It usually is. This sounds like a win in terms of data locality that outweighs that.

Hm. 6.0 liter per 100 km, averaged over 12,000 km.
6.0 liter are 1.32 gallons, 100 km are 62.2 miles.

Do you think he uses extra large gallons or extra short miles in order to reach his results?

Well, with
litres
you're required to use strict IEEE float rounding. Values inliters
can differ depending on underlying hardware.
