@Zenith Not a moment too soon. The P-Bandai site would've been a nightmare having to reload even more to push a cart through.
So here's why I said that:
Bandai Tweeted the following while the site, because it was overloaded, kept displaying a timeout page:
People on a collector forum that I follow were going nuts.
I said the site isn't literally broken. It's overloaded and they're probably running around like madmen trying to kill enough threads/processes to get it under control. It's misleading for them to act like there's just some bug that needs fixed. If their "fix" is just rebooting to kill connections, then the site is just going to "break" exactly the same way next time and every time after that.
So of course somebody keeps arguing with me. It's broken broken broken! Not even a car analogy worked.

While bash has been on the short bus since it was created, this sort of mess isn't characteristic of it.

There are three key cases:
- They're just getting too much ordinary traffic. If the site is mostly static, slapping a suitable caching CDN (such as CloudFlare) in front might help.
- They're under active attack. Why? Who knows. Don't give the shits any money, goods or satisfaction. Weather it and keep going as they'll get bored after a while.
- They're under “attack” by a particularly badly designed web spider. Seen this happen all too often. Block 'em, and fuck 'em. And maybe check that
/robots.txt
is sensible.

I realized that by about 10 minutes into episode 1. Which is where I stopped--I'm not a fan of extreme graphic violence. Or sexuality, not that that was an issue in that episode, but...

unlike goblin slayer, i haven't seen any interspecies rape scenes
i am disappoint
(also odd that that series shows that, but no nipples)

I never watched goblin slayer either, because it was obviously too dark for me.
And Japanese TV morality is weird. Nearly-naked underaged people everywhere, but other things? No way.

I find that the series putting a different spin on high fantasy makes it extremely good, and the dark moments both have reason and are counter-balanced by the lighter moments and that the titular character's mission is to eradicate the wholly evil creatures.
I can also note, if the visuals are what turns you off, the books that the manga and anime are based on are also available in English. Currently, there are 9 books in the main series and 2 in the "year one" spin-off, while the anime only covers the main series books 1 and 2 and some filler from book 4.

I like when the camera begins on the characters' busts and scans up slowly. The "secondary animation" of said anatomy is also nice.
Though the protagonist is completely oblivious to such things.

On the other side of the pacific and the weirdness scale, there's USA, where murdering hundreds of people for fun is a family movie material, but swearing is adult-only. And showing a nipple is so outrageous it requires an even higher age category than adult-only.

I ended up doing like 5 hours that night and finishing the next day. Totally left me out of it. I'm getting old. Staying up to 1 AM shouldn't affect me that much.

On the plus side, Season 2 slows to a crawl for...however many episodes I watched until I gave up on it.

I'd expect that it's more successful than if you did not. And people here do fancy ribbing, so you being a bit of a meme doesn't mean people didn't learn anything, just that you're easy to make sexual jokes about.

Close. We actually upgraded to wood between episodes (it was just the second one). We made (and lost - because ARK) some new friends and took a leap out of the stone age. Turned out pretty good all around.

Status: Trying to use a DataGridView control. The data source is a list of objects that need a special constructor. This is all fine, I can add items at will and edit them.
Now, I want to cancel adding an item, but there seems to be no way to tell that this happened at all. The row disappears, the item is removed from the source (which is a List), but since that list is decoupled from the actual source (which is a Dictionary), I can't easily sync the state of the two sources.
Why is this so difficult? grr...
-
@Tsaukpaetra Why do you have a
List
that's decoupled from yourDictionary
? Why not use aBindingList
so you can more easily track changes? Why not use a customIDataAdapter
to create an appropriateDataSet
from your dictionary, and get actual full change control management? If you're using crappy Windows Forms databinding, why aren't you using crappy Windows Forms databinding?

It's the simplest (in code representation) I could figure for an object with a unique key. Whatever you just spewed out sounds significantly more than about seven lines of boiled plate code...
