Anyone else seeing this in Official Funny Stuff?
Signature guy or did something escape a onebox?
-
@boomzilla Oddly, no. Just here....
-
@boomzilla Scroll up a bit until you see a onebox's scrollbar behaving badly. It'll be obvious when you see it. Not sure exactly what's happening, but it kinda looks like some CSS has gone -shaped and it's b0rking up the rest of the page.

Hmm....yes, it looks like @PJH's fault:

When I view raw on that post (a link to a twitter feed) the shaking seems to stop. And it affects emojis and group badges.

I can neither confirm nor deny any issues with your end.

It's not CSS, some script keeps recalculating the height of that Twitter embed.

I mean...... that is fair......
This is the story of my life so far today:

I mean, since it's client side CSS, it'd be an accurate statement to say it's their end.

But...if the browser is correctly rendering the CSS then it's an issue with bad CSS and not really an issue on 's end.

@boomzilla which end is the CSS being executed on?

That sounds like a personal question.
-
It's happened before with Twitter or some other embed
-
@Vixen be thou careful, an unknown user here downvotes such depictions of equine nature!

Unknown? Looks to me like it's this curmudgeon you all call Boomzilla, though why they would feel so strongly is a mystery that defies all explication.

@Vixen It's a forum in-joke that everyone is a Boomzilla alt.
When they added a feature to let people see who downvoters were as well as upvoters, it proved unpopular, so they restored anonymity by way of this joke, hacking the code to make it so that they all display as Boomzilla.

I dunno, it seems perfectly cromulent to me.

It's the Funny Stuff thread after all. Your screen is chuckling.

First, there were downvotes. And nobody could see the downvotes. And this was good.
Then, the feature to show downvotes was added. And thusly, it was easy to see the total number of upvotes and downvotes. But some of this forum found this to be an invasion of previously private information. So thusly this too was reverted.
Then the people complained at the reverted feature. Thus @blubar spoke and said "all downvotes shall be @boomzilla"
And thus it is.
-
@sloosecannon just a quick correction: the reason people need to be able to open the vote viewer is that upvotes only show the last five people who voted in the tooltip, which is just silly. Either show everyone or no one.
So obviously we went for "show everyone and also @boomzilla"

Yeah, I get shaking in the funny stuff thread too. Massive shaking from the offending post and some shaking if the page is fully scrolled down, but no shaking inbetween. I go at it.
-
@Atazhaia
I used to get some violent shaking in the NSFW thread, before all the weird stuff was posted
-

You can turn it around!
But really, once you get bored of vanilla it's natural to look for new flavours.

@Tsaukpaetra
I switched to chocolate years ago
-
@ben_lubar ah right I knew there was another reason.

If some CSS is broken on a page, but nobody is there to see it break, is the page actually broken?
