@Vixen Based on the mental image you produced and the typo on the bit I quoted, @accalia.
Disregard her current avatar.
She's the creator of The Fox Ideas Thread.
Good grief, I'm having problems typing, myself.

And I have no relation, but decided to play on her name when making a new account that couldn't be (easily) tied back to my real name.

IOW, you're perverted IRL?
-
@TimeBandit Just the opposite, which is part of why I decided to use the name. (I was trying to better anonymous Lounge posts, not create a Mirror Universe version of myself. )

Accalia at one point had a script which updated her avatar every so often ( 5 minutes? ) where the pictures would all come from a certain webcomic. I'm too lazy to search her posting history to find which one, but I'm sure it's in a thread somewhere.

Vision scientist Dr Geoff Cole, at the University of Essex, was part of the first full scientific study of trypophobia, working with his colleague, Prof Arnold Wilkins.
"We have all got it, it's just a matter of degree," Dr Cole told BBC News earlier this year.Uh-huh. Does his scale include or exclude 0?

Yet people still aren't afraid that iPhones will a leave a hole in their wallet.
Also, what about the people who are triggered due to a fear of the word "trypophobia"? Articles like this should be banned!

Yeah..... I wonder how contaminated the test results are with the nocebo effect.
See normally I look at my English muffin, crumpet, waffle, seed pods, what have you and go. well that's clearly a crumpet, a waffle, a seedpod and an English muffin. what of it? Also why is my English muffin all dry crumbly and like not at all good tasting? Oh..... this is the seed pod? F$%&#, that's the third time this week!
But then I read an article where it shows pictures and talks about how these pictures make people all anxious and disgusted and everything I feel like.... maybe there's something too it because these photos that otherwise would elicit no reaction whatsoever are freaking me out....
Then I remember the nocebo effect, and like yep. that explains that like perfectly.

I'm just not yet sure what that means...... Should I be fleeing? Or is it already too late?

People talk about seed pods, but for some reason they never seem to mention something that looks like that but is actually dangerous: a paper wasp nest.
Explanations for why trypophobia is a thing never seem to include the obvious: instinctual defense mechanism against being attacked by homicidal psychopath insects with poison stings that, unlike bees, do not kill the wasp when used!

@Vixen Yes. Or with Raid. Raid is probably the better choice, as it carries less risk of unintentional arson.

I thought the correct answer in that situation was to ask: "Senator, Have you stopped beating your wife yet?"
you can't answer yes to that because it implies that you have beaten your wife.
and you can't answer no because it implies that you do beat your wife.
.... Though i guess if a reporter really does ask you that question, you're fucked anyway because they're going to write their article to portray you as a monster regardless of how you answer.
-

I'm not allowed to quote, because it's in a secure area of the site, but Austen from Always Human. Her avatar CDN no longer has them available. ... Yes, she built an avatar CDN, and not for a bunch of white letters on colored squares like someone we know.
