One of the tricky parts of defining a planet is not winding up with the Earth-Moon system being a binary planet.
Don't be ridiculous: the moon identifies as nonbinary.
Which position does it take in lifestyle parties?

Don't be ridiculous: the moon identifies as nonbinary.
That may be in response to its gender designation in various languages; in French, the Sun is grammatically masculine and the Moon feminine, but in German it's the other way round.

The moon is a bottom by day and a top by night.

That sounds like a lot.

Well, they obviously fled there recently if they've only found them just now.

That's a horribly-worded headline. Makes it sound like the Mexican navy attacked China and stole a bunch of their fentanyl, rather than intercepting fentanyl from a Chinese shipment entering Mexico.

German is weird then, because the Moon has a monthly cycle and the Sun comes every day.

As far as headline goes, it's almost ok. It's a bit ambiguous but at least grammatically valid. Often enough the headlines are so fucked up to make them fit in this weird brief-headline style, my ESL brain throws a bunch of parser errors.

It's not the Internet that was down.
It's fuckin Xbox Live.
-
@TimeBandit what, you mean the service that authenticates that yes, your login credentials definitely are linked to this Xbox account?

Edit: I mentioned it here, in fact.

Although, the last few flights I've been on (United for sure and I think Alaska, too) prohibited any Li-ion batteries in checked luggage. I wouldn't trust something like a laptop to checked baggage handling in any event.

@izzion I don't get this "high frame rate looks so cheesy" complaint. If the problem is interpolation (24fps doesn't fit into 60fps) then start filming shit at a better framerate instead.

What I find interesting is that the "soap opera" thing looks more realistic to me. As in, something you'd see in real life, as opposed to something that was filmed and that you tend to see in movies, which often is kind of like someone ran it through something like an instagram filter...like the sepia one, except more subtle.
And then on the extreme end, it used to be that all NFL footage was kept on shitty media, so even highlights from the same day would look like it was from 20 years ago. The original broadcasts themselves were fine.

Oh my $deity! That explains the fucking freezing! I thought it was just me! It's so obvious now...

Yeah, it wasn't that long ago that they stopped doing that.

@Dragoon expect the conditions to include “service may not be cheaper than what is provided by Apple.”

Why should my Amazon Video account be linked to my Xbox Live account?
Why should Xbox Live be involved at all when my console tries to talk to Amazon's service?
-
@TimeBandit
Single sign-on so you don't have to store a(nother) password in your XBox and the services that connect to XBL don't have to have a new token renewal process.
-
@Dragoon At least, he's not stealing movies on the Internet

-
@boomzilla
AIUI after the initial sign in it associates your XBL identity with your Netflix/amazon account so future sign in is via the SSO. But I could be in left field on that.
-
@izzion even so, seems like it should still allow you to authenticate directly.
-
Ironically, The Digital Dental Record advertises DDS Safe on its website as a way to safeguard files from ransomware attacks.
-
@boomzilla Unless the credentials are stored in the cloud. Because, as you surely know, nothing bad ever happened with cloud security.
-
@Mingan I'm saying: you should be able to re-enter them if that stuff isn't available.
-
-
@boomzilla It would make sense. Therefore, it can't be like that.

-
IIRC it's less of an SSO issue and more that being signed into Xbox Live is a requirement for accessing online services so that Xbox Live can validate the console is authorised and not banned/modified etc.

I'd consider watching that film if it was on Netflix.

Why should Amazon Video be concerned with a modified Xbox?

That's true, but he is right about the stupid requirement of connecting to the console's own online service in order to use apps (locally installed) that have their own online service separate from PSN or XBox Live.

Obviously Amazon doesn't care and it's not their design, but yeah.

They don't. Microsoft do.
Making Xbox Live a requirement for online services gives a bigger incentive for people to not get their consoles banned.I'm not justifying it, just saying that's how it works.
Ultimately users who have bought an Xbox One have signed up to it working like that, as did Amazon when they made their service available via the Xbox.
-

@TimeBandit It's certainly part of why I don't own one.
