The timestamps please me
And so what if it's almost eight hours old?

@Gąska Ha, not intentional (like the other two I guess). Says "21:11" for me, but there's the nicety of today also being the 21st.
Also, either your screenshot tool or browser or something is screwed up, because those colours aren't accurate.
White renders al
whright though.

@kazitor because Ubuntu can do delayed screenshot, and can do drag-select partial screenshot, but cannot do both, I've done screenshot of a screenshot.

Why not just crop the screenshot?

@dkf because I know how to partial screenshot but don't know how to crop on Ubuntu.

In gimp you can select and then "crop to selection", like in basically any other image editor. If you're masochistic enough, you can use the ImageMagick's
convert
from the command line.

It involves using gimp, which is worse.

@PleegWat would you rather use GIMP or be used by gimp?

So how did you discover that the gimp has a crop? Does this worry you?

It's the colouring function that really has me on edge.

@hungrier that one was intentional.

@kazitor Not as good as if it were an accident, but I like it anyway

Status: Acquired the unicorn mount on Terraria. The unicorn can double-jump, and it appears to fart out a shower of glitter when you do that. My new hobby is timing double-jumps to intentionally fart the glitter-spray all over my teammates.

Males are rare but not extinct.

status: dropped half my fries on the way out of the restaurant, and while I understand why they won't replace them for free, I take it as an insult that they offered me more ranch dressing as compensation. (a) shit's free, (b) if two packets were enough for all my fries do you really think four will be necessary for half as much, and as a footnote (c) I never asked for any in the first place, and if they had asked me if I wanted the ones already in the bag I would have said no.

I got curious and according to Wikipedia, male tortoiseshells are essentially cats that happen to have 3 sexual chromosomes (XXY), so yeah, they're not inexistant but it's more like a genetic defect than anything else. I'm not sure saying they're "not extinct" is really the best way to put it though.
Also, I love how Wikipedia pages about cats have 10 times more pictures than other similar articles on another animal. It's "look at how cute my cat is, I will find a wiki page that's vaguely related so I can post it there!"

Quite. When it's an unbroken chain that drops to three pictures below "External Links" on a wide-ish monitor (with the text slightly enlarged too), there are certainly a few extra.
Oh thank god Wikipedia has all the answers!

It's unprofessional to play games on a professional graphics card when you're supposed to be doing professional stuff with it? Unless you're a game dev or professional gamer, in which case playing a game is (maybe) doing professional stuff, even on an unprofessional card.

@mott555
TRis OOO settings that send a reply more than once. What, are you on some Stone Ages mail system like Gmail?

@izzion No, TR
is sending an OOO response to people in the To: or Cc: list of the incoming email.

Some people where I work set the Outlook/Exchange OOO response, which replies once, and then also set a normal auto response which responds to every email. This has the added bonus that you get two responses to the first email you send them.

I believe the involved email addresses are hosted by a mix of Gmail, Outlook, and Lotus Notes, and probably more I've never heard of.

I need a starry background. I also want it to be original/unique, so I can't take a screenshot from SpaceEngine as I normally would.
I'm too lazy to repurpose a quick starry image generator I made a few months ago, so instead I click manually all over the screen.
I have a feeling that actually took longer. Still, it looks decent.

Edit: though, coincidentally, that's actually my current lockscreen background.

Kinda looks dull. If you can share the high def image it'd be cool.

@stillwater You can get heaps of cool stuff from SpaceEngine
I have many screenshots
Celestia gave me the impression that galaxies were just hard to do but SpaceEngine has some damn fine galaxies.
