If there are 2 people who reply to each other, and the last (say) 8 posts are just a back-and-forth between those 2 people you hide those posts by default and replace it with the first result for "slapfight gif" on Google.
Which currently is this:
Users can click the slapfight to view the posts if they really want.

Nobody wants to read just two people going back and forth on some bullshit. Whether or not the posts are "fight-y", hiding them is still a good idea.
Like there's lots of threads where some C++ people get in this long-ass debates over some subtle point in the C++ standards, as if anybody gave a fuck, I'd love to see those hidden even if they're not really arguing.

Guess what, that doesn't mean I've called you an idiot or that I was trying to be more nasty about it than a light jab, and neither that you have to take the whole world as black and white, so that once I post a joke I can never again agree with you. There's no need to make a mortal enemy out of everyone.
Aside: I'm not going to search for it and count it, but I'm 100% positive that you've literally called me a "retard" out of nowhere more often than I have. But when you're doing that I guess it's light banter and fine, as long as other people don't do it, right?This forum's amount of topic drift is legendary, I get that it annoys you and you're trying to do something about it, but meanwhile you can just not read the things you don't care about. You yourself complain in this very topic you don't care to read about C++ stuff, but I do. Then don't read it instead of telling people not to post it. Also you yourself write lengthy posts about other topics that do interest you, but are only tangentially on topic and don't interest everyone. Sometimes I read them because they're interesting and you're obviously knowledgeable about that stuff, and sometimes I skip them because it's too much detail I don't care about. I'm not going to tell you to stop posting that because it's interesting to some people, and as I just said, sometimes myself.
That's what @gąska was hinting at originally: you're complaining about exactly everything that doesn't fall into your personal interest. And my joke was nothing more than adding another topic to his list.
