Gaska tries to fix Blakeyrat's phone.

@pie_flavor I pronounce it like a small motorcycle revving once, "webbbmmm", and have always done so.
-
@pie_flavor said in Gaska tries to fix Blakeyrat's phone.:
came up with the second one when you wrote it
Are you assuming my accent?
-
@Jaloopa Well that would require having some idea what your accent is.
-
Mine's a ´.

@blakeyrat If you are still looking for a solution below might help. If not feel free to ignore.
About the 4th requirement: You can block any notification on Android by long pressing it. And saying never show notifications from this app. Also if you want an unread count. I dunno if any mail clients that support it. But Nova launcher can add unread mail count to the Gmail/email app icons.

Yup, all discussed previously.
Also, welcome back, lurker!

Free or Pro version?
-
@Gąska yes
-
@Gąska It can't anyway. He's like the 4th Android user who's posted that lie.
All it can show is unread notification count. Which is not the same as unread mail account.

It would be, if you disable all notifications except for mail.
-
@Gąska it's a plugin for paid but Blakey is right it works based of the notifications.
-
@blakeyrat I don't see any other mention of Nova or the long press in this thread. Must have been in the one this got moved from. Anyway yes it is based on notifications.
-
@mnm1992 I know it is. For some reason people who like Android phones are incapable of reading requirements correctly. So when you say badge with count of unread emails they hear "unread email notifications". Some kind of brain-disease broadcast by the phone's radio I guess.
-
@mnm1992 said in Gaska tries to fix Blakeyrat's phone.:
Also free one has ads
Seriously? D: Since when? I've used it for several years, and they didn't have any (or I haven't spotted them).
-
@Gąska I changed the message, since the original was completely wrong. I was confused with another launcher
-
@blakeyrat Now you do realize that if you install The tesla unread plugin you also have the option to do it without notifications? And it shows the correct amount. Just tried it on my phone. You do a have to click on the tesla unread app give permission to read your mail and select the accounts. And you have to enable it in nova settings-> unread badges -> Numeric badges. Dynamic badges work with notifications, numeric once actually ask the apps. Warning payed Nova only and no clue how badly they violate your privacy.
(Menu structrure names may be different, since my phone is not set to english)
-
@mnm1992 Or I could just use a phone that does it all by default without me needing to do anything at all. Which is to say, EVERY COMPETITOR TO ANDROID. Because Android sucks.
-
@blakeyrat Or you know, don't ask a question if you don't want an answer. BTW my point was the 4 Android users with mind destroying radios were right Nova was a solution to your problem.
-
@blakeyrat at least the browser has navigation bar at the top.

Excepting Windows 10. Because, you know, it doesn't do that anymore either.

Exist?

@Gąska Yeah that's kind of a "mu" thing isn't it.

@mrl You prefer turquoise and magenta?
Turquoise is a semiprecious stone. Isn't Magenta an open-source e-commerce platform written in PHP?

I sometimes say 'turquoise' to make an impression on ladies. Dunno what that is though.
I think it's what French people eat at Thanksgiving
Certainly looks like something French would eat.

No, it's that guy from X-Men who can control metals.
