@blakeyrat I don't think that scene is indicative of the normal art direction. Check out this, complete with AWFUL voice acting:

They still look like they have small heads, but if you see the guys in full armor, it seems like the armor may just be overly bulky for most characters?

Or that would fall apart as soon as you look at them, or are in other ways completely impractical.
Which makes it a matched set. Totally impractical armor and totally impractical weapons...
I see--the impractical armor produces a field that can only be overcome by equally impractical weapons! And only a total BA can wield such weapons (or wear such armor), lest he/she/it die of embarrassment!
I've done it. I've explained fantasy video games (and most similar anime)! Where's my Nobel Prize!

I didn't see that, but I did get multiple "Database system is shutting down" toasters, followed by a "Connection lost" one.
The database system had to move to an office with more space so it could hold more clients.

I did plug things straight into the wall. But I had to dig out a surge strip for the necessary port count, and lumber behind my desk (which I didn't exactly leave lots of working room behind) to get it plugged in.And generally UPS's fall into the category of "too expensive to ship", though I suppose I should check.
Prime Shipping is hilarious.

Yes, on my Chromebook (Edgar).

@ben_lubar You may have answered one of their trick questions incorrectly at some point. Sometimes it tells you, other times you just don't get surveys. Though it's also possible they just aren't very interested in your demographic, or maybe it detects it's on a non-phone/tablet device and doesn't work.

I've only ever had one thing they asked me and it was the intro survey to demonstrate how the system worked where each question either had an obvious correct answer or was just asking for demographic information.

I think it gives a few cents on Google Play, but I wouldn't know because it has never given me a survey to answer.

I've made about $40 answering surveys, mostly related to places I've visited.
Like "did you go to Tim Hortons recently?"
Yes, of course I didThen rated my experience with 4 stars.
That gave me about $0.45.

Status: Motherfucking hardware designers! Some bastard years ago made it so that they byteswap the boot image on our systems during loading (but nothing else) and it's burned into the ROMs on all our hardware. So now I have spent the morning writing code that loads the boot image from disk, patches it with the launch time configuration, byte swaps the whole lot and parcels it all up into packets ready to be installed. Why the fuck wouldn't you just let the output of the compilation tool chain be directly streamable onto the hardware (after boot config patching), I don't know. :(
Next generation of kit won't have this idiocy, but I gotta deal with what's there now…

@cursorkeys I think the
0x80070643 -- STATUS_INSTALL_FAILURE
error code was one of Microsoft's worst mistakes, because it means you have to go trawling through Windows Installer log files -- if you can find them, if they exist -- to find the actual error and error code that caused it. And nobody makes it easy to get to those files. Not Sage's installer, not Windows Update, and not the bootstrapper Visual Studio included in its deployment projects.

10-100 cents per survey, it varies. The money expires after one year, so you have to spend it when you have only a few dollars, but according to the app I've in total made $49.51. The highest a single survey paid was a full dollar, second highest was 60 cents. Usually it's in the 10-20 cents range. I've never seen less than 10 cents per survey.

At college I had feathers...and stuff that wasn't feathers... suddenly come out of a tap. A tap I had been using regularly.
They investigated and said a pigeon had got into the water tank but that it was all fine to use again

EDIT: Some of the possible questions:
- Who did you dance with at your high school homecoming? (I never went to homecoming)
- What was your favorite beach as a child? (I live in the Midwest. The nearest ocean is light-years away.)
- What was the name of your pet rock as a toddler? (I don't recall much about being a toddler.)
- Who is the most under-rated cricket player of the 1950's? (Um, I have never followed any sports, much less cricket, and that's decades before I was born.)
- What's the name of a performer who reminds you of the time you met your property manager? (Okay...really...seriously...wtf...who comes up with these?)

They still gave more shit near the end than most winning teams at that point in the match. Up to first goal, I've had nothing bad to say about either team - very good defence on both sides, and the scoring header was just beautiful. Then Belgium felt the pressure and started playing more aggressively. They've totally had one or two red card worthy moments. France just played a good game, with minimum amount of rolling on ground. Shaving off seconds is just as valid tactic as any other, as long as it's done with ball in play and not out of play. The only truly outrageous moment was when Mbappe refused to hand over the ball for throw-in. But all in all, the win was well deserved. I might've said something different if it went to penalty shootout, but as is, France scored fair and square, and Belgium failed to score a goal of their own.

Status: I think it's done!
For the last 3 days, my "dev" job has been editing a single Excel document and trying to pry the missing information from the client. 3 fucking days.
Now I'll probably take 2 hours to check existing data and write a few queries to actually get it into our database. No, I don't have an importer for this dataset. Though I could've written at least two of them in the last few days if the fucking client could've just sent me the correct data to begin with!
Oh, and BTW, it's something like 190 records. Yes, that took 3 days. Because the fucking client is incompetent at providing data, let alone editing a freaking spreadsheet without something falling apart or missing.
Fucking hell.
