@spectateswamp Please to put the codes on GitHub so I can fork
I'll do the github stuff and sourceforge source sharing.
But my main discussions will take place here... After so many years of great stuff...
I don't want to have to remember it all.
I'd encourage Swampies to set up github groups for
change to c or java or ???
For mac for android
Every swampie deserves a chance to make all these exciting features work...

@spectateswamp Let me know when you've concatenated THE WHOLE DAMN INTERNET into a text file, and then we can start trying to compare your silly little toy to Google.
It seems that google does not index anything larger than 500kb and other limits on the number of links. That could be a very HUGE amount of data.
I want a bot that will deliver only those large text files to spectate search what google won't or can't.
My swampies will get those records for me I'm sure. For practical purposes, the files you're referring to simply do not exist. No sane person needs them, because there are much better ways of managing that amount of data. Dumping it into a huge text file is . You might as well dump it in a black hole.
Even simply paginating the data would allow Google to both index the site and send users closer to the actual data for which they're searching, rather than just telling them it's somewhere in this multi-megabyte monster wall of text.
Not just somewhere in the big file....
Each file in the file has a append start and append end.
As the fantastic search plows through. It keeps a running value for the last append start along with the file name. So you can go to the original. Very few documents are ever resent and having a second copy is always good....

I actually did copy the code into a vb.net project and started to remove warnings earlier. That's what happens when I have no actual work to do

@jaloopa Hmm, that poses an interesting question regarding your mental health. Did you start porting SSDS because you were crazy? Or did staring into the bowels of SSDS cause you to go crazy?

If you gaze too long into the source code, the source code gazes back.

Not a replacement but a vast improvement.. I'll have to show more videos.
Any search google included is coming up short if they can't do a decent extract.
Context search showing the search results in context... not just the crap google shows. a link or two and next to nothing about the match.
Spectate search will get you the exact same results every time. No so with google.I was searching the code for recent changes and wanted to see if another element was found in the context with it hilited red...
I am at the testing / jammit stage of the budge feature showing the TLF
this might scare some of you.

If you jam it you will get very excited. My latest changes are almost working and along the way I am putting some hint in the code for myself and others.
Where the match is found I want do some hard coded changes to fix or test data.
Maybe I'd take all the dates I loaded that have a "/" in them and replace that with a "."
in a 1 pass / use only change. Spaghetti code is so good for this.
I use the / as a separator. Element 6 in the control.txt file...

Nobody budges through video better than this...
attention swampies this is probably the best feature in the video arsenal.
I was having a hard time getting the video timeline playback to start exactly on the location I wanted. I added the begin option to somewhat help solve the problem. But not completely...The budge features fixes timeliine playback problems...
By trying to get the same location multiple times... like 8 or 10 times
getting the same short segment. Then continuing from there makes sure the segment is displayed. If an indexer like bling or google personal or any other app is running hard then playback is interrupted.... But not with this superior budge function.
I will be uploading the exe and latest source today.
The budge feature opens the door for playing 2 files together.
ie if they are mounted side by each. Playing 1/30 second from camcorder 1 files
then playing 1/30 second from camcorder 2 file. With the budge code I need to implement the bigbud element to hop ahead or back after the multiple short play requests. That makes fast forward or backward as well as slow motion forward and back.
Believe me this is a great great feature.

Join the club. I don't understand the code. I just jam and jam it till things happen.
Being willing to check it out is pretty good and I comment all you that have. But it isn't fair for me to criticise anybody.
I'd like to have a way to distribute my VB5 project and software so....
Swampies can jam it like I do.
It is a lot of fun to trial and error your way through the code.
Please somebody help old swampie get everybody jammin it.
My next thing will be to get a vbnet version running and video the setup
so others have no problems playing. The latest code will be in shortly along with the exe
The previous had a couple bugs. and is 99% good.

No.

This sentence is true but not for the reason you say. Your feature is like the ACME slingshot connected to an overly complicated contraption that results in its user with explosives blown in its face.

I am going to use archive.org for my demo videos and text files
is my huge text file and the derulaswamp text is first....
They don't require any registration before you can download the files...I have videos there I didn't know they were doing text... That is great...
I can't believe how good the Spectate Budge feature is working...
I'll have the complete tobacco leaf flyer stuff really showing the Sky Creatures.
One of which was definitely a SC selfie.http://www.telusplanet.net/public/stonedan/demo85_pict7.mpg
I will also use my site for some demos...
The above one is the tobacco leaf flyer Sky Creature.
Now finally I can start stalking these creatures of ours...
It is so important to have good test data when doing video.
How would I know it was working without these very very quick segments..
I know a lot more about video timeline playback than I did.
When you Jam it you start to get results and answers right away.

I almost forgot about the latest reshoot of the super Budge feature.
Been busy on quora telling them all the answers.
Strange thing is. My old laptop works fine. My new one not so fine.
I'll have to put a wait on the find video length command that is failing OR
I'll just jam that command at the OS a couple more times..
It's the indexers, security, wifi messing with the computer. I wish it were easy to set their priorities way down.
I'll do the same for some of the others on the demo85_pict7 maybe it will show some communication / like crop circles... Just dreaming.

Latest source.txt and search.exe from TODAY
It still needs some tweaking but it is good enough for now.
Being able to show the specific segment over and over is fantastic.
Previously I had trouble showing the same clip twice in a row. You can't imagine how hard it is to have someone look a second time when they seen nothing the first.. Tuff very tuff

The point is when a segment of video is repeated time after time People can see stuff that We wouldn't see before. And by changing a few budge amounts settings we can view in Fast Forward.
See things that are too slow or too fast to perceive. Nope not annoying at all.
