@anotherusername Well, they likely have some dignity left to only call it a patrol when they leave the premises.
Meanwhile I'm surprised that the detainee isn't in deep shit yet by holding on.

It's not like it's the children's fault or their parents' fault, of course. And we shouldn't worry that the current crop of children is stupid enough to drink laundry detergent and try to see if it's an issue with schooling. Always blame the companies.

Edit: goddammit, if you scroll down there's an autoplaying video in that page.

From the comments:
You know it wasn't an emotional support animal if A) she flushed it down the toilet, and B) only cried for 10 minutes.
"Emotional-support hamster"? Sounds like that didn't work out so well. Maybe what this snowflake needs is a Maturity-support Hamster.
there is a HUGE problem here.....several, in fact. and it has NOTHING to do with some ditzy woman flushing a hamster.......has plenty to do with a ditzy woman thinking that she NEEDS a damned hamster.
How is a 21 year old "too young" to rent a car?
Most, at least, won't rent a car to anyone under 21, seems most aren't very good drivers.
Or good hamster owners

I heard from another source that he was also a compulsive liar. Well, I think that's what they meant when they said "he was full of shit".

This will be fun. And can also be summed up as the EU saying: "Any kind of failure on your side to realistically plan for what you were committing to for does not constitute an emergency on our end."
I mean, the UK's head honchos seemed to think that they could leave the customs union while at the same time not have a hard border between the two Irelands.

I mean, the UK's head honchos seemed to think that they could leave the customs union while at the same time not have a hard border between the two Irelands. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is still, just, a sovereign nation.
In which case bugger off mateys.
The correct answer here is, as I’ve been saying, to lie.
“And sure enough, this is a border, can’t you see it? We’ve road signs and all saying it’s the border.”
And then carry on much as we do right now. Anything less than an artic going through is just local people doing local things*. Larger cargos get “randomly” checked. And we’re done.
*Adjust according to local intelligence.
Note that it's the EU insisting on a hard border there. UK couldn't care less in this instance. In which case, it should be the EU putting in the effort. Or as one comment put it:
If they want a hard border, then let them have it – on the Irish Republic side.
-
@pjh You don't seem to have thought about this for at least five seconds. Sorry dude, but you're way off. You might want to consider, for example, why this border is a big deal. And why simply not having a border is also not possible in the face of all kinds of treaties.
Oh well. Can't argue with a Brexiteer. The usual: "Let's ignore how international treaties work and their implications."
And let's also ignore that the UK government bindingly committed to not having a border. Because otherwise Phase 2 talks would not be happening.

The body of a man was reportedly found in Hamburg covered in sliced cheese with pantyhose pulled up over his upper body while he was wearing a diving suit and a raincoat. He has placed a plastic bag over his head was sat in front of a heater that was switched on.

No, I'm actually rather indifferent. I'm just amused at the stunts the UK tries to pull. The Tories have an internal war against each other, Labour would probably have one too if they were in power. The government does not know what it wants exactly and promises things (like, not having a border between the two Irelands) without thinking about the implications.
For example, they'd like to have financial services included in a deal. However, that's not possible without being in the union because other treates (like with Canada) stand in the way. Because if we gave the UK such rights, any other nation we have a treaty with would also get access to these rights - WTO-rules. "Most favoured nation".
Or take the current haste to undersign the Vienna convention. There's only a few days left to sign that one - because in case of a crash-out all of Europe would not be compelled to accept their existing driver's licenses. With obvious results for their logistics companies.
That's not the kind of thing you leave until the last moment.
By the way, even with this treaty they try once again to have their cake and eat it, too. There's all kinds of stuff where they don't seem to understand that the EU has also other treaties to consider, chief among them being Norway and Switzerland. These kind of dictate the limits of what we're willing to give - let's not forget: These two countries came from the outside and wanted in, at least partially. The UK is doing it the other way around - they should not be surprised to meet resistance.
Also, let's not forget that the treaties with Switzerland and Norway are a result of decades.Problem is that May is simply too much of a coward to stand up and say: "Okay, this is the way we're going. If anyone disagrees they can enact a vote of no-confidence and then manage the show themselves."

Being in power isn't a requirement. They're already having one, and it's been bubbling for a while.
Neither side is fit to govern ATM IMHO, and we have no cromulent alternative at the moment.

She doesn't have any powers. Which treaty/bill it was exactly (European Communities Bill of 1972, Maastricht Treaty of 1992, Treaty of Lisbon 2009, others are available if you're bored, this FoI is somewhat amusingly tin-foil hat.) that removed them is usually debated, but it's generally considered that the Queen is no more than simply another EU citizen at this point, and Parliament could depose her if it were so inclined, and apart from 'appearances' there's nothing to actually stop them.
And not arguing among themselves, of course.

Yeah. Currently they're begging 3rd party countries: "Oh, those Brexit shenanigangs? Just keep on acting as if we were still in the EU, pretty please?"
