This prompted me to actually check the HTML source... it's apparently generated by Yahoo Site Builder and uses a strange combination of div, table, spans, and font tags. It's truly a WTF to the highest degree.

I never thought I'd ever see a font tag nested in a span tag, nested in a one-cell table, nested in a div. Although I think that approach is more of a WTF on Yahoo's part, rather than Yvette's part, besides the fact that Yvette decided to go with Yahoo Site Builder to create this monstrocity.

I actually knew someone who wrote HTML like that.  Probably not the spans, but he used single-cell tables to create padding and loved nesting font tags within tables within divs within tables within divs within tables...  Ironically, he worked at Yahoo.

That’s not irony, that’s just good planning. He was clearly leveraging for a job working on YUI.

Ironically, that's precisely the project he ended up on.

If he's using FrontPage or Sharepoint designer I could understand it generating this crap. If he's hand coding it, god help us all.

Oh no, it was definitely hand-coded.
