@RaceProUK mojibake!

Depends on where it appeared. If it's hosted on someone else's page, it may be the other site is serving pages as one of the ISO8859 charsets while the text of the ad is UTF-8.

@powerlord It's the Start Menu.

I'm trying to decide which is worse. Character encoding errors in ads, or ads in the start menu. I'm very much leaning toward the latter.

I pretty much ignore that whole left hand part of the start menu, except if I've just installed something I want to pin and it comes up in the recent list
-
I don't see those... Oh yeah, I turned that shit off!

This isn't news, windows 10 has been inundated with bugs since day 1

I love Drawboard PDF for my Surface, though. It's probably the best program I've found for using a touchscreen to work with .pdf's

@Fox Is there a free/demo version? I'm always looking for apps that make my Surface Pro more useful with the pen/touchscreen rather than just having a weird laptop I can poke periodically.
-
@e4tmyl33t I seem to recall that I got it for free on my Surface Pro 4. It's been a while though, so I'm not sure if it was a time-limited thing... You could just look it up in the app store (must be on the Surface Pro in question though) and see for yourself
-
Could be worse. Their bugs could have ads.
Oh...nevermind.
-
@boomzilla Considering Youtube has a "You should use Chrome! Download now!" bar on edge, where the X button doesn't close it, I think they're even.
-
@Magus Yo dawg, I heard you like bugs...
-
@boomzilla True, but that's to eat: I don't want them in my software!

I want to say that if you do even have to pay for it (I don't recall paying for it on my Surface Pro 4 either, @Akko), you can "return" it within x number of hours for a full refund?
-
@Fox I'll have to investigate when I get home and get the Surface back on WiFi, then.

That reminds me, I should probably exercise my Sony Vaio Flip so the hinge doesn't rust shut. Tablet mode isn't useful with all the peripherals I have extruding out of it...
