@DogsB the real question that the headline doesn't get at: we might be facing Taylor Swift fatigue but is that better or worse than Apple Swift fatigue?
You really do have a knack for giving us the willies.

Good to know that all this time I spent learning to cope with PHP has proven useful in one way then!

It could be used, for example, to build an nuclear clock that could measure time more precisely than the best atomic clocks available today.
Because that's totally a thing that's needed. Atomic clocks are famous for their low degree of precision, afterall...
-
@Mason_Wheeler and we build them because high precision clocks are not particularly useful.

You know, the headline of this thread only specifies that you MUST read the headline. It doesn't specify anything about reading the body of the article one way or the other

It doesn't even say that you must. It's really more of a guideline than an actual rule.

Probably was the hand. The NHS doesn’t offer cybernetic upgrades as far as I know, so no cool arm cannon or anything like that.

The performance of the natural materials is really very good. Bionic replacements tend to be worse than the originals; they're not upgrades. (If they had a plasma blaster concealed within the arm, that would be different, and much cooler...)

How do I convince my mother to do this? Whenever I threaten to return she tells me about the chores she has written down. It's almost like she wants me to show up. I have doubts about the veracity of this headline.

@loopback0 said in Today in reading the headlines...:
Here's me being unreasonable and reading:
The 62-year-old had claims staffleft their cars on the road outside the store throughout the day – despite a one hour no return policy in place.
Garry said: ‘I wasn’t discourteous, I wasn’t rude or aggressive.
‘I merely pointed out that it was morally incorrect what they were doing.’
Gary argued that people could struggle to reach shops on Middleton Park Avenue as a result of the influx of cars.
He told staff of a free car park close by but claims he was told ‘we’ll do what we want’ in return.
Fuck those guys.

Should have used paint stripper the way teenagers do

You didn't notice the unfathomable stupidity before you used paint stripper? I would have expected it to dull your senses, not sharpen them. Maybe it displaced the alcohol.
for its intended purpose.
As opposed to some unintended purpose? I suppose it might cause some sort of intoxication, but probably a very unhealthy sort.

True, but single-sex schools are stupid whether teenagers like them or not.
I mean, I'd have preferred them.
