NodeBB tries to do something weird with [X]
-
When quoting anything from this topic with [X] in the title, we get:
@Gribnit said in
:@Atazhaia said in
:@Gribnit Sometimes one finds the opportinity to make @Gribnit-isms that makes no sense to a common observer, unless you happen to be in the know in which case they make perfect sense.
So you're not going to be starting a cult? What a disappointment.

@hungrier sounds like a combination of markdumb plus our sanitizer.
-
Also, some strange formatting issues in notifications:
The original bug only seems to happen when [X] is at the beginning of the topic title (i.e. looking like a checkbox)
-
[X] What happens here?

Nothing!

@boomzilla Does it work with just regular escaped text?
<input type="checkbox" id="checkbox4" checked="true" /><label for="checkbox4">This is not a checkbox</label>
<input type="checkbox" id="checkbox3" checked="true" /><label for="checkbox3">in the middle of some text?</label>Looks like it eats whatever's before the escaped fake checkbox

@hungrier lemme try something...

And here I am, not properly stocked up on canned goods for the end of days.

Hrm...I thought we had a whitelist for the sanitizer in the admin panel but that appears to be incorrect. OTOH, here's part of our settings panel for markdumb:

Hm. The html code for the title is
[X] has lost
