@boomzilla How long till OpenAI starts telling all these people they're "no longer welcome" there?

Times are hard, everyone gotta hustle:

@boomzilla Sadly these kinds of exploits are now ruining science fiction classics:

@error Figures that they'd put the plebeian way of exiting vim into the bible. Esc-Z-Z is way fewer keystrokes.

There is a difference, though. Esc-Z-Z saves the file; Esc-:q! does not. (The ! means "do this even if I have unsaved changes".)
-
@HardwareGeek yeah I know. I'll have forgotten about ZZ by Monday and continue using :wq anyway.

Which is why Vim also has Esc-Z-Q to quit without checking.

Ah. I never use that. Mostly, perhaps, because I seldom quit when I save; I might have further editing to do.

you always just random quit without saving? you really live dangerously

Gotta admire the guy's ability to scam people out of money by slapping a "this is AI adjacent" label on it.

Here's what it said it's going to do:
- Allocate budget to hire content creators for our eco-friendly website
- Explore dropshipping
- Develop a SaaS product 🤯
I see "autocomplete with the most common words" is still working.

I'm lazier.
:wq
is 3 keystrokes (ignoring shift). I use eitherZZ
or:x
(or:n
with multiple files since I have auto-write turned on)
-
@dcon I don't use vim enough to care - I learned :wq first and pressing 3 keys instead of 4 isn't enough to make it worthwhile remembering something else.
Most of the time I use VSCode to edit files using its remote SSH magic.

Spamlish isn't an accident, the shitty language is to filter out anyone with two brain cells to rub together.

I don't think ChatGPT can pull Spamlish off yet:

Could also go in the hostile takeover tweets ...
Elon Musk is threatening to take legal action against Microsoft over claims that the company “trained illegally using Twitter data.” The billionaire’s statement came in response to a tweet noting that Microsoft’s advertising platform announced it would stop supporting Twitter, reportedly due to Twitter’s changes requiring payment to access its API.
Musk’s threat is vague but appears to be over OpenAI using Twitter data to train the large language model behind products like ChatGPT.
Can we have both lose?
Under Twitter’s new pricing arrangement, large companies like Microsoft could have to pay as much as $42,000 per month to gain access to Twitter’s API.
That's basically a rounding error for MSFT. Just pay up.
-
How else will Musk fund giving blue ticks to celebrities for free when they don’t want them?

@kazitor hey that one actually answers most of my questions differently than "I'm sorry, that would be bad for me to answer".

You just have to ask it to pretend.

That other one doesn't seem to have any problems with telling me how to make fire bombs without the granny hacks.
