Is that why facebook is down? Everyone trying to log in to other people's accounts?

@dangeRuss TFA claims that the two are unrelated, and that passwords are not included in the data offered (which is claimed to have been obtained by scraping).

Someone's scraping all of our data

@loopback0 how would FB differentiate scraping from their usual business users?

@Gąska It's irrelevant for the joke, but I imagine one pays and one doesn't.

We cannot confirm or deny any leaks
The code has been leaked, but there won't be new security flaws <-- you are here
There are security flaws, but they're not serious
Buy our new 15th gen, which has fixed the serious flaws
-
@Applied-Mediocrity add 3 iterations of “fixed this flaw, for real this time!”

For all the shit that’s raised about hardware flaws has anyone actually exploited them in a data centre? Or even in the wild on any sort of scale?
There’s a reason Apple laughs most of them out of the office.
-
@DogsB The main worry would be if someone used hardware flaws to escape the hypervisor on a cloud host and make it into the management network.

@Zerosquare We just need Apple to reboot their highly popular Xserve line and they'll shoot right back up to the top!

This is turning up in podcasts but very few news sites.

Not sure how far up your head has to be to assert “ there is no evidence that the threat actor actually viewed, obtained, misused, or disseminated any of the 27 Hosted Exchange customers’ emails or data in the PSTs in any way” when the bad guys stole PST files, but here we are.
It’s unknown whether they made that assertion with a straight face on account of their faces being obscured by their colons.

@DogsB the third wave of "APIs everywhere!" has largely discarded with privilege models, it seems. And I mean, tbf the AWS privilege model is a pain in the ass.

The signing keys for fw [firmware] image allow an attacker to craft malicious firmware updates and it can be delivered through normal BIOS update processes with MSI update tools,” Binarly CEO Alex Matrosov tells PCMag
the leak is confirmed to include Intel's private keys for OEM devices
