@boomzilla Somebody think this was something new?

(I've tried these. The bacon ones aren't bad, but the sweet corn is my favorite.)

@DogsB I like apples. I like prawns. I don't think I care for that combination.
It might work; it might not. But at least clean and de-vein the prawns first. That includes removing the heads.

Apparently, my son has, too, and he disagrees with you. He says the bacon ones are bad, the ranch dressing is horrible, and sweet corn is simply "no".
-
@Carnage At least a potato salad contains pickles and olives.
-
@Mason_Wheeler I've seen pickles but not olives. Yuck.
I just made my Grandmother's recipe...potatoes, onions, celery, hard boiled eggs, salt and mayo. It's pretty simple but very good.
-
@boomzilla Oh yeah, celery. Forgot about that. But I won't eat a potato salad with onions in it. That's not a food; it's a chemical weapon.
-
@Mason_Wheeler I don't mind a little onion, as long as it's not too much, but "too much" is easily achieved. Potato salad is also about the only thing in which I like a little mustard, but again, the line between "a little" and "too much" is a narrow one. I also like Kartoffelsalat, although I prefer American-style potato salad.

I tend to go for just potatoes, mayo, and then green onions or shallots (and seasoning of course).
Never tried it with celery or eggs, but at least it's way more mellow than the aggressive taste of your average raw onion or raw garlic (though the latter can be nice in some dishes if you dose it very, very carefully).

Never had beer with olives, but other unusual things yes. Tea for example.

Just to clarify: beer and tea? Or tea and olives?
(yes)

Tea and olives.
Beer and tea you don't have to make yourself - there is Earl Grey IPA in every (good) liquor store.

That's easy to do at the table, provided you have some method of cleaning your fingers afterwards (finger bowl, easy access to the sink, whatever). I'm very fond of a large bowl of shell-on prawns. The cat likes the heads, or you can boil them up to make prawn stock.
I suspect that most of the filling was shelled and cleaned, and there was just one whole prawn put in the top for decorative purposes. I'm just not convinced that prawn+apple works together.

There are many recipes for potato salad.
My favourite one involves nice small potatoes, chopped onion, lots of dill (or parsley as a substitute), and a basic vinaigrette dressing with extra vinegar. Very simple.
Seeing as you're an allium-hater, the amount of onion could be decreased I guess. I've never tried; I like onions...

Wow. 4 ingredients, none of which are a fruit or a vegetable. That's a truly horrendous abuse of the world "salad."
You could use peanuts which are vegetables, or chestnuts or hazelnuts, which are fruits. Coke is mainly extracted fruit (maize) and/or vegetables (sugarcane, coca leaf)

INB4 eating is not drinking
Trivia time!
In middle ages, beer was often considered a meal, not a drink. Well, usually in a form of porridge or at least with a (stale) bread, but even just a hearty bowl of beer was a traditional peasant breakfast.
Actually, that was much longer than just "middle ages"; Frederick II (the Great) of Prussia urged his subjects to breakfast beer. And to show that he means it, he banned coffee, because of traditional values and (actually trade deficit).
Then again, Frederick usually took his coffee with black pepper and mustard, so
-
@Kamil-Podlesak I have often referred to beer as bread in a bottle.

It will have been far safer to drink than the water.

It's the PB&J one that fails to live up to its promise.
Has he tried the Buffalo Wing one (not pictured)? That's another one I really like.

Indubitably. I just don't consider the with the head and legs an appealing sort of decoration.
I'm just not convinced that prawn+apple works together.
Maybe, maybe not. I've had other food combinations that you wouldn't think would work together but do. I'd be willing to give at a try, at least.

I mean...aside from the price tag it actually sounds like it might be really good...
The fries feature ingredients including Chipperbeck potatoes, Dom Perignon Champagne, J. LeBlanc French Champagne Ardenne Vinegar, cage-free goose fat from France, Guerande Truffle Salt, truffle oil, Crete Senesi Pecorino Tartufello cheese, shaved black summer truffles from Italy, truffle butter, organic A2 A2 100% grass fed cream from Jersey Cows, Gruyere Truffled Swiss Raclette and a topping of 23-karat edible gold dust.

Fresh, green leaf is how it's meant to be consumed, the dust is just what they put in the tea bags.
-
I have had your normal plebeian truffle oil fries before and they are pretty tasty, so these could be pretty good.

I remember that a traditional Chinese brand of liquor named "玉冰燒" is brewed with pork and rice.
"玉冰" was the name of pig that first used for making this brew, and "燒" means "燒酒" (liquor).

It can't be any worse being used for that purpose than being used as a "PASTEURIZED RECIPE CHEESE PRODUCT".
