The Mandalorian: Where's the rest of it?!? [no spoilers]
-
So I finally got around to watching The Mandalorian last night.
I finished the first season this morning. Because there were only 8 episodes in it!
-
2 more than the standard length of a series
-
@Mason_Wheeler The rest of it is in season 2. (Or so I gather, I still need to watch that.)
-
Now that new "television" hotness is mostly online, Agile has come to television seasons as well.
-
@izzion Lean Six Episodes
-
Also, how does someone who lives his whole life inside an always-on helmet keep his facial hair so neatly groomed?
-
@Mason_Wheeler Well, if it's an always on helmet, besides the facial hair, I'd be worried more about things like eating, or brushing your teeth. (Of course, who knows, chronically bad breath might be the last resort weapon of a Mandalorian for when a curios and near victorious enemy gets in the position of removing said helmet.)
OTOH, I thought there was an episode where it was implied that the helm comes off for that kind of stuff; it just can't be removed while in the presence of or being observed by somebody. Still, not the most practical arrangement.

The helmet does all the grooming?
This is probably one of the more sensible technology in the Star Wars universe...

His "creed" allow him to take the helmet off when he is alone, for things like eating, that happened in some episode on season 1

A smart helmet! (Only works when it's connected to the cloud, though. And we never see it receiving firmware updates either.)

Actually, Lucas was quite a visionary when it comes to moving everything to cloud. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Cloud_City

Patch Tuesday must suck. Better tape down all your belongings when they're updating the antigrav engine firmware and hope that the updates finish in time...
