@TimeBandit Given that there's a long weekend this week, I might be in serious danger of overworking myself.

A what now?
Anyway, I think giving... lerp... 0.6% more won't be too serious
Just showing up should almost cover that.

Meh. Nothing a custom CSS can't fix.

@Zerosquare
It looks like they are alreadyabusing CSS

.door .inner { transform: rotate(4deg); } .door .inner .handle { transform: rotate(-4deg); }

rotate(4.63deg);
(According to GIMP, anyways. If you just eyeballed it, I'm pretty impressed.)
EDIT: scratch that, the sides aren't quite parallel (there's a bit of perspective). But still, pretty close.
-
@Zerosquare I do a lot of bullshit with transforms like this, it was a tossup between 4 and 5 and I eyeballed it at 4.
I work for a hipster design agency, so naturally the designer does shit like 'make this animate to this slightly skewed angle when the customer hovers'.
I've also seen the fad for 'let's take text in a rectangle, apply shear to it to get a sort of lozenge shape, then reverse the sheer for the text'.
-
@Arantor I'm impressed you never strangled any designer
-
@TimeBandit the current “let’s shove Lottie into everything” isn’t helping with that, I’ll be honest.
But for the most part the current designer I’m working with is making designs that suit the client so while they’re annoying, the clients are genuinely happy with what they get and don’t interfere too much.
So while they’re annoying to set up… for the very most part they get built and left alone for a couple of years.
Honestly, this is preferable to the designers I’ve worked with that don’t add the little flourishes and it ends up going back into redesign hell because the client thinks it doesn’t pop enough.

@Applied-Mediocrity prokopetz has the best “what the fuck are you mad actually that’s genius” ideas. If Tumblr were in any way actually sane I’d follow for the content.
-
@Applied-Mediocrity Then the players would take advantage of the goose, or at least try to, and try to get it to be useful in the campaign.... Yes, this would be great...

You're asking the wrong bot.

@Zerosquare One would assume that executing such a simple function doesn't require an unscheduled rapid reboot.

@Zecc AI is really starting to replace people then. I have a bunch of friends that cause insomnia and alcohol consumption too; if this is true, maybe AI is a reasonable substitute?
Not sure about the loneliness. I guess I can be lonely on the inside even when surrounded by people.</emo take>
-
@Zecc So AI doesn't really change anything?
-
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I want AI at work. I spent far too much time around other people this weekend. The rest I can already do.
-
I could do with an alcohol inducing AI buddy right about now.
Maybe it's the alcohol that's really needed, but I've also never tried blaming worktime drinking on an AI.
-
@cvi according to TFA, step one would be to move to Taiwan.
-
@boomzilla Bing told me that excessive drink is bad and then proposed that I might need to talk to somebody and get help and offered to look up resources for that.
I don't know what I expected, but I'm disappointed nevertheless.
Especially considering that it's the whole talking to people thing that is driving me to drinking today.

Indeed. WTDWTF members never needed AI to achieve that result.

What's the AI that recommends brandy? (Whisk(e)y being old-sock moonshine that tastes faintly of gasoline.)

Some does that bad. Some tastes very good. (Don't know brandy so well; mostly use it as a cooking ingredient.)

Try Red Breast or pretty much any Glenlivet.
