Well, then some water causes additional fun.

According to the thread start, just shy of 300 days. Thanks a lot.

You're welcome.Wrong. I saw it pretty early on, and I did consider editing it using moderator powers immediately after I saw it, but...
Also I wanted to see how long it would take before someone noticed, and then I forgot. It took much longer than I expected.

And you thought there wasn’t a significant warthog (or, by the looks of things, at least half a dozen) kneeling between “noticed” and “mentioned”? You have much to learn.

I didn't write it intentionally but I did realize before I submitted and decided to leave it.

@boomzilla Yup; BTDT, both as a kid and as a parent.

I found that Palmolive had a nice, piquant after-dinner flavor - heavy, but with a touch of mellow smoothness. Lifebuoy, on the other hand...Blehk!

Dunno, whenever I would name one of the Eldest, people would usually blanch, or leave the room, or bleed politely from the eyes and die.

Some of us probably had our mouth washed out with soap.
Most of taste comes from smell, so smelling soap would give an idea what it tastes like but that isn't as funny as the first case.
EDIT:

@Zecc Not what I meant, but also yes, I said a lot of them (most of them directed at my ex-wife).

My wife says when she was in kindergarten, her older sister tricked her into drinking a bottle of shampoo. Tasted nice and citrusish, they still had to pump her stomach.
-
@LaoC That's normally why most shampoos and the like include some aloe vera, this gives them such a bitter taste that makes it unlikely a kid will manage to drink much.
Related: when my mother was a kid, her mother had nightshade in the garden (don't ask why, though the main reason is that the garden was apparently left to itself), and my mother was of course explicitly warned to never taste the nice little berries. Her older brother, however, managed one day to talk her into eating a couple -- and immediately ran to their mother screaming that she had eaten some! Same ending as in your story, my mother ended up in hospital for a deep clean...
He later told her that he had done so because he wasn't sure whether it really was poisonous (or just tasty-but-forbidden), and wanted to see how their mother would react. So he used his little sister as guinea pig.
