Old Polish joke:
Jackrabbit is telling Bear about the great party at Squirrel's that he went to the other night.
"In the end it's just me and Squirrel left, both drunk AF. She looks at me, rips her clothes open and says 'Take what you want!'
So, I took the TV."
Bear looks at him and says: "Jackrabbit, you are one dumb fuck."
Rabbit sighs.
"I know. If you were there with me, we could have taken the fridge."

@Zerosquare Reminds me of a story posted to Reddit that I've seen elsewhere a couple of times.
Business has a lot with vehicles stored in it. Lot is surrounded with 8' fence with razor wire. Vehicles are still broken into and burglarized. Business installs electric fence inside razor-wire fence. Parents are outraged that their kids are going to get electrocuted. Politicians and law enforcement get involved. Business owner shows politician and law enforcement the electric fence. Electric fence is 6' inside the razor-wire fence; no kid could possibly be shocked by it unless they had already climbed over the razor-wire fence. Business owner suggests to law enforcement that the parents who complained are complaining because they know their teens are the ones breaking into and burglarizing the business, and they've just outed their own kids to be investigated for the many crimes that have been committed there.

Some 25 or even 30 years ago, there was a Dilbert story like that.
Dilbert was at home with a girl he has been dating since a couple of days, and now told her that he had some special needs which should be fulfilled, and if she'd understand that.
After she agreed, he sat down on his computer and read his emails because he could not do so at work during the last days...

They both look like tearing apart, just disjunction has the legs pointing up.

Just FYI, “legs pointing up” as a phrase doesn’t conjure “disjunction” as a mental image. But I guess YMMV…

Tear a piece of paper in the usual manner, or unzip something. Now use your abstract reasoning skills to do an image match.

I just see half of a quartering, either way. You're the one with all the dirty pictures.
Briefly entertaining the notion that this is not stick figure bondage, the assertion would be that the shapes are themselves mnemonic. So, like pouring liquid over a solid cone , um conjunction, and, like pouring liquid into a funnel, disjunction, then.

@Gąska FWIW the ∨ / ∧ disjunction/conjunction pair are analogous to set theory's ∪ / ⋂ union/intersection pair (A∪B is the set consisting of elements that are in A or B).
Now you just need a mnemonic to remember that ∪ means union and ⋂ means intersection. And that ∨ is analogous to ∪.

Maybe if one looked like a u and one looked like an n it would be easier.

My mnemonic is that the union looks like a receptacle (opening facing up) that can hold the elements of both sets, while the intersection looks like a cookie cutter (opening facing down) that cuts out and catches the common elements of the sets. And then from there to the conjunction/disjunction by similarity as you said.
