What the shit?

So, @Karla replied to my post, but it does not show up in the thread, that I can see:
Clicking on the time stamp to navigate to the post returns me to the first post in the thread. Navigating away from the thread and going back in returns the same result. Refreshing the thread does the same. @Karla's post is off in the ether somewhere.
-
More:
Hard refresh and it still doing the same thing.

This post is deleted!

If you click the link from @Karla's profile, it just goes to post 1 of the topic.

@loopback0 she apparently replied to me months before I made the post, and used @xaade's account to do so.

So I'm a @Karla alt and didn't even know it?

That explains the nice rack.

Is altness transitive? You're known to be a @boomzilla alt, and @Karla is known to be a @boomzilla alt. If altness is transitive, then it follows that you must be alts of each other.
Filed under: We are all one in @boomzilla.

Assuming altness is also commutative, that is.

I would assume a (partial) order relation, so transitive but anti-symmetric.
Why? No idea, just cause.

I do not hate the J...oh....symmetric.

Hmmm...I don't see anything obviously wrong with it...

@boomzilla I would guess something along the lines of a manually-updated index where the post somehow failed to be added.
edit: your link is some kind of 404, though.
https://what.thedailywtf.com/api/post/1472791
doesn't 404, but it just points to the first post in the topic.

@brie I blame @ben_lubar. When in doubt, blame @ben_lubar.

He's a bit quiet these days. Maybe whatever he's up to is distracting him from manually updating the indexes.

You're missing the
pid
part of the link. Or you have an extraapi
in there.

I don't think so. Not in this case anyways.

You're missing the
pid
part of the link. Or you have an extraapi
in there.Look at the link you posted again... it was an error page, and you had
api
in it twice so I tried taking out the extraapi
and then I got something that wasn't a 404 at least.Replacing your second
api
withpid
does appear to be the correct URL though.

@brie said in What the shit?:

Whoops. The second
api
should bepid
.

That doesn't seem very likely.

So, it looks like this happened again:
