@boomzilla Would also accept Florida Gun thread:
She added that Cintron "regularly carries an unknown make/model fully automatic firearm with a double drum high-capacity magazine," the police report said.
I'm just guessing that he didn't pass the NFA background check for that.

@boomzilla "In the Free State of Florida, it remains illegal to possess marijuana with the intent to sell it."
Contrary to popular opinion, in all 50 states it remains illegal. Some states have removed their redundant laws against it, but no state has the power to make it legal without Congress legalizing it.

@boomzilla you get a lot of time to think about what expression you're going to wear before they take your mugshot. I am not remotely surprised that someone's pulling funny faces in front of the camera. I wonder how many pictures they took before they said "eh, at least they're not sticking their tongue out anymore."?

…make bank

@izzion I'm fearful of knowing how that could ever work...

@Tsaukpaetra from reading TFA ():
This worked because Uber Eats provides couriers with prepaid cards they can use to purchase up to $700 to complete customers' orders.
Police claim the suspects would show up as couriers for their fake grocery orders before canceling them and using the prepaid cards to purchase gift cards at the stores.
Still not sure how that works. Wouldn't Uber Eats still know that a courier spent money on their card without a (non-cancelled) order to match? And thus know that this courier is cheating them?
Maybe they just counted on how long it would take them to react. Which wasn't that bad a guess since they kept at it for 19 months before being caught. Add to that the fact that most people are not smart, and this explain everything.
(the last 9 words can probably be posted in all threads of this forum)

Thousands of personal data pointsLogical deduction, of course. I mean, you don't get arrested at the station, so at the very least, you have the time you spend in the police car. And then there's some minimal questioning (who are you, what have you got in your pockets, can I have that weed) that you have to endure -- Iabsolutely knowassume that this takes a little time, with the usual bureaucratic delays, before the mugshot.
-
@PotatoEngineer Based on having watched many police bodycam videos, there also may be considerable delay while waiting for the more violent symptoms of drug-induced psychosis to subside, so the jail personnel can actually get the offender in front of the camera without endangering themselves.

Not the best time to be considering the expression for your mugshot though.

Agree to disagree. Your mugshot is guaranteed to look awful. Why not consider it while coming down from psychosis?
-
@boomzilla "I don't live here" isn't an actual quote, so that's disappointing.

I don't really like it. It reminds me of those stupid animal names that online idiots use like "nope rope" or "danger noodle" for snakes

@hungrier Or, even worse, "mop dogs" for Komondors.

I see your cartoon impression of a cave and raise you something a bit more realistic:
We considered going there, but the menu is rather posh, so we decided it probably won't be worth the money. But we were in
That's not a natural cave but rather a 13th century cellar—and a good restaurant with normal prices.
PS: TripAdvisor does have photos, but they don't seem to show up in the onebox; searching for something that oneboxes better.

That price range is a bit of a lie, because those prices are for the individual items on a degustation menu, which means you'll have several courses and pay in the ballpark of 150–200€ for the whole dinner. Whereas normal restaurant might be around 10€ for noon menu and under 20€ for dinner.
