Go To Latest not working?

Maybe it's just me? It used to be that if I went to the first post in a thread, there'd be a notification like "Hey, you wanna jump to the last read post of the thread".
Now it isn't there?

@lorne-kates no, it's still there. But I don't think it shows up if you go to the first page (or if you're already on the first page). I can reliably cause it to appear by clicking the icon to go to the first post, when I'm on a page that isn't page 1 of the topic.
