Could be. I've never heard about compatibility issues with TP-Link products, I guess.
I have the same Wi-Fi card, I believe. My only complaint is it is not Miracast-compatible; that's something I'm going to look for in future products, I think.

Same basic attitude. I have no problems with my system as-is, but I wouldn't mind getting rid of that HDMI cable some day in the future... or adding a second monitor without an adapter as my graphics card only has one HDMI out.

I mean, nowadays I go for DisplayPort, but there was a while where HDMI was the best option.

@unperverted-vixen Even DVI can support 2 monitors. HDMI was the best option in the sense that there weren't pins to bend, but not much else. Obnoxiously, the Windows Mixed Reality headsets use it. But at least not two, like other VR options go with. Because they just won't pick a single cable that can do the same thing.

I dunno. The times I've played around with miracast (and similar screen sharing options), I've never been really convinced by the results. Like, it always feels like it's a big sluggish and occasionally drops frames.
Using it for a presentation with Powerpoint or whatever is probably OK. Watching a movie/youtube is already borderline (as is playing a movie from PPT IME). Gaming would be for me a no-go. I don't think that I'd survive working on a monitor connected via this either.
To be fair, I've only used Miracast et al. with somewhat underpowered devices (laptops and smart phones), and typically in places with other wireless stuff going on.

@kt_ Use air cooling and save yourself some cash. From what I've seen unless you are overclocking the bollox off of it air cooling with a standard cooler is fine.
I have a i4770k with an aircooler and everything works fine.
If you can afford a 1060 do buy it or one of the better 1050 higher variants if you can afford it.
Otherwise should be a good rig. Probably be faster than mine and I have a monster sitting beneath my desk.

@magus HDMI and Display Port can do 4K at 60FPS. I am not sure if DVI can. Also you get the sound from the monitors (both my monitors which are 4k have headphone jacks in the back)
HDMI 2.0 vs 1.4: What's the difference?
We take a look at what you get in HDMI 2.0 over the old 1.4 standard and whether it's worth worrying about.

Display port can deffo do 4K at 60FPS because I am using it now.
PS:
I've been googling about this as I know that HDMI is DVI + Sound for all intents and purposes.
HDMI 1.4 cannot do 4K at 60FPS, only 30FPS.
Can Dual Link DVI do 4K at 60Hz?
I've got a 4K monitor attached via Dual Link DVI. It does 4K, but only at 30Hz. It does 60 Hz up to 2560x1440; anything above that is 30Hz. Is that a limitation of DVI?
It looks like DVI cannot do 4k without two DVI cables.

I like my keyboard having USB slots because I don't have to trail a headset or similar from the backside of my PC, this preserves the cable.

@lucas1 One thing that you might wanna consider regarding GPU is getting a second hand 970 or similar.
4K is why you need a 1070+, 1060 is for 1k gaming.

See, that I agree with. But audio is a very different situation. While I am perfectly fine with USB audio, I know people who would never accept audio without a sound card, DAC, and amp all hooked up. PCs are really good at that kind of thing. Running through a monitor, not so much.

@magus It ultimately all depends what your requirements are.
e.g.
When I am listening to music or watching a film, I tend to have a Marantz Amp with Monitor Audio speakers. The sound quality is fantastic. It is just amazing. I am sure some audiophiles here have better setups but for me it sounds amazing.
However when I am listening to just some nonsense on youtube or having a skype call, I don't really care whether the audio is perfect, I just care that is is good enough for me to hear.

Maybe you should look into them. They make nothing else but power supplies (including being an OEM for e.g. EVGA), and according to this PSU reviewer they're good at it too.

Windows seems to like using the monitor as the default sound output device. Even when the monitor does not actually have any speakers/headphones connected.
