@Tsaukpaetra Where the fuck are you that mayonnaise is not yellow(-ish)???
At best, it's maybe slightly yellow if you made it with a lot of yolk, but otherwise...
OK, now you've done it. I'm unfollowing this thread.
Wait, what? Am I missing context?

Oh dam, I usually forget to look at signatures. One of these days I'm going to get a nasty virus from that...

@Tsaukpaetra Just wait until you've read the signature of the post before you upvote it. Problem solved.

Is the issue just with mayonaise? What about mayonnaise?

That looks like pudding.
But I'm not here and didn't see it.

Cultural divide is striking again
Plus the Mott's company is best-known (in the U.S. anyway) for applesauce and fruit juice. I'd be surprised if they had any mayo in their product line.
And as you might have guessed, it's totally unknown here, hence my initial confusion (Mott's doesn't refer to anything in the Real World to me). Also, applesauce as a condiment isn't a thing here, we have "compote" which is the same thing but (almost) exclusively served as a dessert (or part of).
-
@remi said in WTDWTF Fitness Group:

I mean, applesauce isn't a condiment. It's a side dish of fruit made even tastier with copious amounts of sugar (and sometimes cinnamon).
Leave it to a Frenchie to think the best side dish is a condiment.
-
@izzion Side dish, condiment... it's something that you eat as part of your main dishes, not as a dessert like we do. Also, this shows how little I know about it since it wouldn't come to our mind to eat it with a savoury dish (with one notable exception, and probably some more if you look hard enough) so I never really thought about how you used it.
But that's because we have dishes that are tasty enough by themselves without needing to add fruits & sugar to them
-

But applesauce is not a condiment...
Anyways, enough about sugary Apple pulp products, Google said I'm moving too much, so I should move more!
But also said I'm not hearty enough, so I should heart less.....

Yes, as mentioned previously it depends on how much yolk you use. Perhaps "true" mayonnaise uses significant portions and thus has a stronger tint.
I guess it depends on your definition of "true mayonnaise". The U.S. government is moderately strict - Miracle Whip is not allowed to call itself mayonnaise, even though we always called it that at home.

How can you say that when they don't even measure the curvature of bananas?

I am American, but am offended by anyone who serves fruit and calls it "dessert". We served applesauce as a side dish, though, regularly when I was a kid.

I think they just flipped a word, or, waking up in the afternoon technically counts as waking up super early!
-
@Tsaukpaetra You just let yourself go on Sunday and slept unusually long. Interesting.
-
I am now exactly at 100kg, my goal weight, and have expended no personal effort whatsoever to achieve this. I ate a lot of candy and cookies yesterday.
-
Status: fucking exhausted.
-
That’s one dozen thousand small steps for @Tsaukpaetra, one giant leap for fitness kind!
Nice job, keep on the keeping ons!
grumble I guess I need to stop being a baby about the cold and get back to walking myself
-

-
@izzion said in WTDWTF Fitness Group:

I'd rather not, lest I end up in a hospital...
-
@Tsaukpaetra Yeah, don't be like me and ramp up efforts too fast. In my case, that results in reawakening old foot injuries and being forced to stop or slow down dramatically.
You know you can hit 10,000+ steps a day if you really want to. Small increases in your average steps each week will get you back up there eventually without the worry of overexerting yourself.
-
@Placeholder said in WTDWTF Fitness Group:

Well the first increase will happen starting Monday. The new office has only three parking spaces, we're sharing the place with another company, and there are no unreserved parking spaces in this lot ( ). So I'll have to park elsewhere...
-
Last time I checked, I'd lost ten pounds between Thanksgiving and Dec 22. Since the 22nd I have managed to gain 1.5 of them back and I still have six cookies of @Lorne-Kates's fantastic shortbread to get through.

@Tsaukpaetra The "fun" part of my school is that it's a rather huge compound with various buildings with up to three floors each. Sometimes when doing tech support I have to walk all over the place.
My record so far are 10 km in the space of one morning. A normal day will see me having walked 5 km between 8 am and 1 pm.
-
@Rhywden With all that walking, Fit AF much?
-
Status: Fitbit claims I've taken 1,292 steps today, despite me just barely getting out of bed and waking to the bathroom.

Maybe it's counting from midnight?

Might have overdone it this weekend. Feeling soar and stiff. 140 km MTBing is apparently above the limit
Can somebody come and help me tight my shoes?
-

No. I tied my shoes when I first got them, and forgot how I did it since then...

should have gone with a different pair ... but my brain wasn't working at full speed either.

Why is the nearest/only cycle path right next to the coast and its winds?
Feels good to finally sit down.
-
@kazitor Does your bike not have a seat?
-
@HardwareGeek fine , "feels good to rest my legs"
-
@kazitor there was no point where you were coasting?
-
@pie_flavor is that a pun?
Yes there were some points like that, but the problem with wind is it's against you pretty much all the time, in both directions.
-
@kazitor wind doesn't travel in two directions at once.
-
@pie_flavor when it's perpendicular to you, as it often is travelling along the coast, yes it's against you both ways.
-
@kazitor A cross-wind is not quite as bad as a head-wind, but it's certainly not pleasant. The only good wind is a tail-wind.

Try cycling on the beach. After a few km you are glad to be back on the road against the wind
