And you don't trigger accalia.

@TimeBandit it's more of a mock infomercial than it is a joke. And the thing is really just a promotional stunt...
A limited supply of Frorks will be available with the purchase of a Signature Crafted Recipes sandwich on May 5 at participating restaurants.

Looks like McDonald's is on the warpath to becoming relevant again with the newest generation.
- Ironic commercial that makes fun of the past
- Self-aware, slightly deprecating joke or two about the company's business model
- Memes. (Anthony Sullivan)
Sounds like they've hired someone on their marketing team who might actually be competent.
I don't think those new items can beat Whataburger here in the deep south though. They have the "specialty burger" market cornered here, at least in Texas it seems like everyone prefers Whataburger.

Probably not, but their "specialty" burgers are actually good and of course kids always want to go to McD's. How do they compare price-wise?
-
@boomzilla They have Whataburger beat on price, I will give them that. They range from 6 to 8 dollars, I believe that includes the fries and drink. Not sure if the price they listed in the infomercial includes the meal (it probably does). Again, though, most people around here will tell you that Whataburger has better ingredients and I would personally have to agree with them. We'll have to see if Mickey D can somehow deliver similar quality for a lower price.

I highly doubt it. It says the price is for the sandwich.

For whatever it's worth, this video was McDonald's April Fools joke this year:

Now I'm a Whataburger fan. Unless there's an In'N'Out nearby. Then I'll take a double-double with grilled onions.
