Why not a trebuchet?
Because it's not a piano that has been set on fire, duh.
(Reference to a programme on BBC2 in the first half of the 90s that explained about trebuchets. All through the programme, there was incidental music played on a very badly out-of-tune upright piano. At the end, they put the piano out of our misery AND tested a new-build trebuchet by igniting the piano and launching it from the trebuchet.)

No. I left the UK in the early part of 2009. It's just that the image of the piano on fire and smashing into the ground stuck in my mind. And the appallingly bad state of its tuning...
