Randomly passed out for two hours. Dreamt I was participating in graduation at a theater. I was in the audience section. Noticed I was supposed to be in the graduates section. Rushed over. Lucidated. Sat down for a moment anyways while I determined why I was asleep. Figured out it was only 8p. Woke up.
-
I dreamed I was the owner of a brand-new still-under-construction Constitution-class cruiser. I showed up to inspect it, and it was mostly just an empty hull. I found a rope ladder that was supposed to lead to the front of one of the warp nacelles. I climbed up there and found a grassy park with a well in it, the well was where the rope ladder led back to the main engineering hull. I didn't really want to climb back down and discovered there was some kind of pulley system that could safely lower me back through the well, but when I went to use it, I was told I had to be a paying subscriber to an Android app in order for it to work.
I didn't want to pay so I climbed back down. I found a tiny turbolift to take me to the saucer section. The car was so small I had to crouch and the walls pressed into me on all sides. The turbolift hung like a cable car, but it successfully brought me into the saucer. There, I saw the saucer was mostly empty inside, but the under-construction areas looked like a shopping mall.
I really wanted to see the bridge. Someone showed me a stairwell that would take me there, but after several flights of stairs it abruptly ended in a closet full of hockey and lacrosse gear.
Then I woke up.

I strongly suspect parts of this dream came from the correct-scale Constitution cruiser I downloaded from the Steam Workshop for Empyrion: Galactic Survival. The interior was a confusing maze and it was not practical for Survival mode. I gutted it down to a shell with the intention of rebuilding it into something feasible in Survival mode, but I never got too far because I just don't have that many resources in my Survival game anyway. The fuel consumption for something that large is astronomical and I haven't found much Promethium.

I hate how details fade.
Something about a war between humans and a new alien race. Afterwards, I ended up being assigned/partnered with an alien as part of some kind of cultural exchange. All I really recall is the alien's language was based on frequency-modulated tones, and they could emit many such tones simultaneously in order to speak very rapidly by basically multithreading their speech. But most of their tones were well above the range of human hearing, and for humans to understand them they needed to switch to a single deeper tone which frustrated them because it takes much longer to talk that way. It apparently lost a lot of meaning that way, too, because the pitch itself had meaning.

I'm at the tail end of a cold, and still relying on doxylamine to sleep well. That stuff results in me sleeping a long time with many vivid dreams. It also makes it very hard to get going in the mornings, though.

Sometimes I wonder if there were really any details in the dream, or if it ever was just the blurry memory I get of it when waking up. I mean, since apparently dreams occur quite quickly in a tiny part of our sleep cycle, maybe there is no such thing as the dream itself, and the hazy memory of it we have when waking up is the only thing that ever comes to our mind...
(now where is the "wow, that's deep" meme picture?)
-
@remi That's possible, maybe even probable. But then there are some dreams are vivid and full of detail, so it's definitely not true of all dreams.
-
I definitely know that some of my dreams are all built around "false memories" and most of the dream was never actually dreamed. But that's definitely not true of all of them.
I'm usually aware on some level that it's a dream, too, even if it's a mostly subconscious feeling that things aren't real.
-
I'm extremely glad and or disturbed it was a dream.
There's no other way that horse dildo would have fit inside that bitch, and I wouldn't want to deal with the aftermath of her "cleaning" it off with another one.

I dreamt I was in a gender segregated changing room preparing for a wedding. Once I emerged, things got fucked. I was standing in line waiting with other males, when there was an announcement that certain people would not get to go together, and chaos ensues. Instead of the male line joining with the female line to enter a seating room, everything was chaos, and I escaped. At some point a fish-driven Buzz Lightyear was involved, the fish spoke English while Buzz spoke Spanish. The fish reserved a spa pool thing for the resistance. Stuff was getting too crazy so I just woke up.
-
I was in MatPat's house demonstrating Hypatia. Apparently the version he had was super old (the one where you start out in clouds) and trying to join resulted in a weird partial rendering. I logged in myself and then it started to say "downloading updates", despite other characters moving around and chatting with me. It was really weird.
Then I had to go to the bathroom, which ended up being in some kind of cupboard, and the door's latching thing was backwards so it didn't actually close. Fun.
-
Nightmare. Was driving in my Chevrolet Venture from fourteen years ago at night after fetching walk-through from Burger King when the engine caught fire. It was in the neighborhood (elementary school parking lot is where I ended up) and someone came to help with a dinky fire extinguisher for kitchens (it was smaller than my arm). Miraculously it eventually worked but the van was toast.

I have this recurring dream that I can click things on a projected computer screen by closing one eye, holding my finger up in front of me and "touching" them with the tip.
-
I realized my dreams are very sanitized and story-like. I mean like actually telling someone a story. I had a dream where I was reading? watching? experiencing? a chase between a pirate ship (old-time sailing ship) and an anachronistic/modern steam-powered battleship/iron-clad.
The first part of the chase played out movie-fashion (sometimes from one perspective, sometimes from another), but then once they started firing at each other, I was demonstrating it on a kitchen floor with my hands and a piece of dough(?) as a ship, making the bang! noises. Like I was telling the story to a young child. After the pirate lost, it switched back to movie-perspective, as the only survivors (3 young children) came off the sinking ship. They were covered in ash and smoke but totally unhurt and unfazed. The naval ship wasn't internally consistent, though...
And then I woke up.

I dreamed I was trying to purchase a USB flash drive that was in credit card form factor so it was easy to store in a wallet.
That's really not a terrible idea.
-
@mott555 I'm sure you can store a lot of flash cards in a carrier with that form factor, but it'd be quite a bit thicker than a normal credit card.

Only about three cards thick or so.
The actual "flash drive" part is remarkably small:
-
I dreamed I was in the house where I grew up, walking around the rooms where a song (made-up by my mind afaict) by Gackt was playing on a loop. And I looked out the back windows across the street (which is pretty damn impressive considering the row of houses blocking a view of the street) to see a depressed Elmo running a failing hot dog stand.
And then I woke up all confused thinking I was back in that house until I had reached an appropriate level of awake.

Since this is not a dream, I am going to interpret it. The three cards symbolize the triad of child, mother, and father. The smallness of the flash drive is an attempt to process a trauma which in my professional opinion I should not speak more of at this time. The wafer naming is an obvious reference to oral sex.

I dreamt there was a family stranded in an isolated island. Initially there were only two people, but they started reproducing and had already a dozen or so kids.
None of these people were me. I wasn't part of this dream at all.
Their only contact with the outside world was through messages in bottles. Even though they weren't even sure where in the world they were located, this communication channel managed to be reliable enough that they could, somehow, access a handwritten form of the internet.
Most of the time was spent commenting on RFCs.
They were trying to push for the creation of a
.di
(for "deserted island") top level domain.

I so gently woke up I can remember the last scene fairly clearly. In the scene prior, I was privy to a court case of something that eventually got shut down to mistrial because apparently the judge was tampering with evidence. In this scene I was judge, there was no jury, and lots of weird stuff happened. Ended up with the judge being guilty, but during all that a possessed man testified, his wife testified, magic was demonstrated, and it all culminated in an assassination attempt against the judge by (apparently) his own wife, who it turned out was having an affair with the demon. Apparently metal-less bullets can be fired once from a plastic lipstick gun

I only vaguely remember two bits:
Somehow the pedal of a kick drum became anathema because it was a symbol and/or tool of oppression. I have no idea how a drum pedal could be used to oppress anyone, but ...
My son and I went to some sort school concert (I'm not sure why; I don't think we were related to any of the kids performing, and one doesn't go to a school concert to listen to great music). We got there early to get good seats but were asked/told/forced to move to less desirable seats because we're white cis males, therefore unworthy of good seats.
Clearly, I spend too much time in the .

Dreamed up the stupidest concept for a touch-enabled cellphone. Imagine this, but much more curved, and running Android:
Stupid thing had all the bells and whistles, Bluetooth, WiFi, etc. The cover flap was also a "high density surface-vibration speaker", which proudly proclaimed its bass capabilities.
Other than the stupid design and horrid ergonomics of it, apparently it worked.
-
I was on a trip to China. Got off the plane and into a limo that was essentially empty (furniture) with two girls chatting with each other on their cell phones.
Limo driver was insane, despite the streets being oddly empty we still managed to hit and wreck a dozen vehicles, mostly motorcycles and a few pedestrians.
We arrived at our destination, apparently some kind of fan-run Star Wars battle simulation using mini drones. My entry looked nothing like the others, so I entered it as UXJ9, and the battle began. No idea what the rules were, but it was very windy so my drone was having trouble flying (moreso than the others). My team wagged their heads and complained that they shouldn't have used my drone, so I brought it down while they jeered. Instead of retrieving it though, I instructed it to transform into a bigger helicopter, which somehow made things more stable.
Weird transition later involving pushing a button (that ended up being the main goal) and ending up in a doctor's office in a meeting, discussing some kind of lot search function. I was apparently arguing that the one built into each patient's profile area was more than sufficient, and that making a global one was breaching privacy, somehow.
Anyways, meeting was over and we were all hiking in a slightly rainy mountain, when suddenly my father drives up in a Prius all mad, and I jump in (literally) while he drives like a madman. Apparently he's mad I fucked up the schedule and we're late to catch a train or something. I aborted the dream there because unnecessarily emotional.

I dreamt that I had fallen some kind of trap, and have to win various game in order to leave.
I only remember the last two games. The first game is a maze game, but the rule is "you will be dead if you touch anything". And when I walk, there will be random objects spawned near me, so I should act fast and not stay at any place for too long, and also hope the object spawned will not block the way just in case this will lead to dead end I need to return. It takes a lot of retry to successfully enter the exit.
The second game is on the same rule but in open area, and instead of objects spawn near me, I found there are statue of mobs like skeletons or orcs there. And to my surprise, as soon as the aura of my character covers them, they become alive and begin to chase me.
I kept running until I encountered a pack of white wolfs. I the beginning the white wolfs also want to attack me, but after like 30 seconds the wolfs nearest me because neutral and no longer want to attack me. Since wolf units do not attack each others, the fact that they stand still blocked the wolfs on further position from attacking me.
After all wolfs in the pack becomes neutral units, I found the wolfs nearest to me begin transforms into ally. And after all wolfs had turned into ally, I order them to lead the way and clear all units they encountered (this is possible because other units on the map won't move unless they enters the range of my aura.
That's how I cleared the map, found the exit, and woke up.
-
@cheong Huh, the last time I was attacked by monsters in a dream, it was zombies, but they then recognized me and hailed me as a priest of (somebody, can't remember). But, that wasn't a game.

Last night, I dreamt that among with others in business suit, we're climbing up a building with elevators in different length. We started with elevators in open area at ground floor and started rushing upward.
I always choose the longest that I can see. On the 3rd or 4th rides, I reached somewhere like a upper podium (somewhere 30+ floors, where open area in lower floor are separated with floor and you can't see below). When I completed the ride and look downward, while some people are still climbing the elevators at upper levels, others are rushing to lift lobbies located at the side.
And then I realized there are staircase, something you may have seen in lowers in anime that people can climb up on spiral path. But instead of people climbing up, I see people who look wear out going down there. And 3-4 floors below the stairs are covered with thick grey mist.
I suddenly feel dizzy, and then woke up.

Detail added:
The entry floor is much like the lobby of Central Public Library of Hong Kong
https://www.dreamstime.com/stock-photography-hong-kong-central-library-image28542682
Just that there are much much more elevators, and each elevators raise you at least 5 floors and up to near 20 floors. There are some floors that you can't find elevator going up so you have to be every careful when selecting which one to go up.
Also at the lift lobby at both side of upper podium, the lifts seems never arrive. And people at the back keep pushing foreword, so you can hear lots of angry shouts there.

Being chased by golems. In a forest. I had gone to visit a couple of buddies. One of them had a piece of paper. I'm not sure if it had information they were trying to get, or it was the magic that enchanted the golems, or what, but the only way to be safe was to completely destroy the paper — e.g., burn it, then pulverize the ashes — so that the information was unrecoverable, but we didn't have time because we were running.
Transition
Suburban neighborhood, appears to be the one I grew up in. Found the guy who created the golems. "Your golems can see without eyes, but can you?" Shove a stick into his left eye and twist it. Pull out his eyeball. He runs away while he still has one good eye and is not heard from again.
Transition
Golem guy had apparently turned his wife into a golem. She was not unhappy about this, as it had rejuvenated her (and made her immortal?). With hubby out of the picture, she went into business for herself, complete with neon sign.
Transition
Fire engines. With women's legs and lower torsos attached to the roofs, legs in the air. I'm not sure if they were alive, or had been alive, or were (partial) golems, or robotic, or what. People were doing what you might think they'd be doing with the lower torsos of women with their legs in the air.
Woke up
