What's with the colors?
What's your objection here? The specific color palette? Or the fact that the text that describes each key is the same color as the overlay on that key? Because the latter is a fairly common convention, or it used to be back when people produced paper manuals in color.

So decorate the elevators and make the sign just say "elevators" with an American flag background or something.
If you have to name them, choose names that it's hard for anyone to get upset over, such as battles of the Revolutionary War. Or just do what normal folk do and use single lettersβ¦
A large portion of the Bernie Sanders demographic seems to think the Revolution was a gigantic mistake. I bet "Bunker Hill Elevator" and "Battle of Yorktown Elevator" would cause way more problems than simple Red, White, and Blue elevators.

Well, it's the RNC, so probably any color scheme that wasn't, say, red and yellow, would be problematic to them.

Apparently I'm part of the bernie sanders demographic, but I've never heard this.
What the hell is the point of debating whether or not the American Revolution was a good idea? It happened, everyone involved in that decision died long ago, their children died long ago, and their children's children died long ago. What the hell. Britain's a shitshow, and the USA would have become independent after WWI anyway.
Jesus. Bernie's not a practical candidate but he's relatively honest and hasn't done any real crimes recently. That's all I've got to say about that.

Ok, I mean you want it to be unobtrusive. Or unmemorable. Basically an empathic beacon that warps knowledge into your head is the ideal sign. No labels, you just know the bathrooms are over there.

global warming
Speaking of glueball wormening, apparently going on a show cruise to highlight how it's melting the polar icecaps is a bad idea. Remember last year (year before?) when a ship doing that got trapped by Antarctic ice and had to spend a week or two waiting for a Russian icebreaker? Well, a similar thing happened this year:
There has been one small hiccup thus-far though: they are currently stuck in Murmansk, Russia because there is too much ice blocking the North East passage the team said didnβt exist in summer months, according to Real Climate Science.

Hospitals do the color-coded line thing too, although I don't think I've ever seen a white line in either place.
You could probably find plenty of them in most corporate HQs and recording studios, though.

My cousin goes on a cruise ship every year. The ship he usually goes on divides everyone at dinner into three teams to have dumb competitions. The first year he went, the teams were called "red", "white", and "blue". My cousin happened to be on the "white" team. Every time his team won a competition, he got the entire team to chant "white power! white power!"
The next year, the teams were called "one", "two", and "three".

Anti Trump hysteria is reaching fever pitch.
I think the "hysteria" is justified.
What bothers me is how they are attacking this petty bullshit instead of focusing on things like how he's anti-vaccine, is proudly pro-torture, anti-environment, states that "no one knows what my strategy against ISIS is" as if that were a good thing, asks people to beat up protesters, is against NATO, mocks disabled people, mocks people who were prisoners of war, thinks Bill Gates can help him "control the internet", believes you can "build a wall" between US and Mexico without it being so ridiculously expensive it would completely negate any benefit, insults people constantly and then takes offence from the slightest criticism, wants to make abortion illegal, has economic and tax plans that are beyond bad, contradicts himself or outright lies about many things ("I watched in Jersey City, N.J., where thousands and thousands of people were cheering [on 9/11]")...

People are implying racist elevators at the RNC, but completely disregard the actual racist charicature at the DNC
-
@theBread Yeah. That's why when asked, the guy behind "Yo, Is This Racist?" always says "look, every political party is super racist, but I guess right now the Republicans are more racist?" (Not because of the elevator thing, because of fucking Trump).

Pffft. The Republicans are supposedly always more racist. We're rapidly approaching, if we haven't already passed, peak racism, and are moving into Syndrome's "when everyone is, nobody will be" territory.
I'd say "maybe then people can have an actual discussion" but the people who love to call everything racist will just move on to some other cheap shot.
-
sigh
Right, this is TDWTF, where it's not generally believed that racism exists at all. I'll see myself out.

Obviously. If they were less racist, they would be Democrats instead.

Yeah, that's totally what I said, and completely not a ridiculous and stupid reductio ad absurdum/fallacy of the excluded middle.
